The wonderful folks at REVV amps have asked me to write some original madness to demo a new amp they’ve got coming out SOON. I decided to put a new toy to use and write a pretty wild original tune with my Skervesen Raptor 8, a true monster of a guitar!!! I’m putting the final touches on the drum programming, and I’ve got the basic skeleton of the song in place. I should have the new amp Tuesday, and I’ll throw down some guitar madness on top of it then! After I send it to my mixing guy, Eric Hill, I’ll share it with you all first!
I would describe the song as sounding kinda like if Vai listened to a lot of JRPG soundtracks, then joined Chaosphere-era Meshuggah. Pretty weird wild stuff. I can’t wait for you all to hear it!
