That's usually a feature of particularly flexible blades. If it was more rigid it would be more forgiving.

Hi Skallagrim, I just watched the testing video with Sword Sage and his arsenal, and I had a question about that really long sword, the Long Chu Jian - Striking Eagle. I don't know if I'm interpreting what I see correctly, but it seems like the sword doesn't cut very well if it doesn't strike at the center of percussion. If that's true, it seems like that would negate the supposed advantage of swords, that they can make larger cuts than an axe or cutting polearm. Does this seem to be what's going on with this sword? Is this true of all very long swords or just this sword in particular?
