On Romance
Added 2025-08-12 04:40:15 +0000 UTCI've received questions about this, and I'm actually not too sure myself since most of my writing is discovery writing. You think I have this shii planned out? I don't. I vomit words, find the similar threads, then stitch the pieces together into a coherent plot.
Now I don't have an end game yet, but from what I've hinted there are two obvious potential romantic interests. Don't worry about there being some sort of dramatic love triangle showdown; I don't like that kind of drama so I prefer not having that in my work (unless that's what you're into idk).
Severa x Fabrisse satisfies that rival-to-lovers itch in me but I've accidentally made Liene too OP. Also it might not make that much narrative sense since having them together means there will be multiple chapters in both books that I'll have to go over the same scenes, and I'd rather not have that. I'll figure something out.
Veliane Veist is not an option for Fabrisse. She will, however, become a pivotal part of Severa's book.

2025-08-12 12:28:10 +0000 UTCThough this potential could all be fulfilled by just having a suitable build-up arc and a subsequent coming-to-terms just as easily as an actual romance. If anything the misunderstandings piling up are way better to read than actual romance.

2025-08-12 12:27:21 +0000 UTCIn all seriousness though, the fact that you get alternating viewpoints with Severa x Fabrisse if anything is kind of a plus for me. They’re both extremely emotionally constipated and pathetic (a shared commonality), but in delightfully diverging ways, and seeing them deal with the same situations from their wildly different premises and reaching the same (or different!) conclusions is a major treat. Let one interpret the other’s silence as meaningful when what the other meant to do was just… stop talking to think, stuff like that.
