Thank you so much for this reaction! I'm always conflicted by many of the choices Jiang Cheng makes when it comes to Wei Wuxian. So by this point it is well know that the Wen name is hated by the rest of the world. Those who defend them get thrown on the same boat and can become targets in the same way as the actual Wen people. In this particular instance, I feel like Jiang Cheng is saying I can't defend you without putting the whole Jiang clan in danger and most of their dialogue this episode is Jiang Cheng showing anger because he can't understand Wei Wuxian doing something as dangerous as defending these people, even if it's the right thing to do. I think his decision is pragmatic as a leader, but at the same time (at Wei Wuxian's request) he is abandoning his brother and leaving him without the clan's support. I believe Wen Qing seems snappish this episode because she is feeling guilty about what Wei Wuxian is having to do, so she tries a couple of times to give Wei Wuxian an out of the whole situation but he refuses while making jokes. She's not actually angry, just feeling a little frustrated about the situation overall. Wen Ning was actually waking up and Wei Wuxian's music is what calmed him down. I absolutely love Lan Zhan and Wei Ying meeting towards the end of the episode; the interactions in Yiling between the two of them and Yuan are seriously some of my favorites from the whole show! I'm so glad you enjoyed the episode and thanks again for this reaction!
