I can't say too much because we need to avoid spoilers but it's interesting that Cole considered Sam's words his alone instead of blaming them both. Why wouldn't he blame them both? Also I loveeee that Pamela said what we would have said in that situation. "This will be hard for Sam and Dean." You know what's hard? Dying. She was one of the few "real" characters who'd say what someone would really be thinking in such a crisis situation.

Well, let's just say that there's very little time to think about it when that happens. It's usually more of a bittersweet sadness than anything, but maybe that's just me - having gone through that more than most I know. ;) Shout out to Christopher Heyerdahl, though. Dude is an amazing character actor (and has been in just about EVERYTHING) Even back then before he became Marcus from the volturi LMAO.
