Long-winded, so item features are listed first above.

At this stage, my focus shifts to locking in the final structure:

• Morph creation begins — with full fist + smile expression checks

• I then move into Iray preview rendering, cleaning up hard seams and doing any corrective paint where needed

• Once it looks right, I drop the cleaned textures into the correct folders and save the skin preset

• Then I save out the character preset

• After that, I restart DAZ Studio

From there:

• I load a fresh G8M
• Apply my shape and materials to test them in a clean scene
• Begin the clothing process: import OBJs, assign materials, rig the outfit parts, and ensure all texture paths are correct
• Save down each item cleanly with final file structure

Once all presets are saved, I reset the scene, reload the entire build, and verify that everything links correctly — including materials, morphs, and saved states.

But it goes deeper than just visual checking.

This is where I know all paths are correct — and I often zip up the entire working assets folder just to confirm that nothing is pulling from outside sources. If the zipped version runs clean, I know the build is fully sealed.

Poses at this point are still front-end data — unless they’ve been saved incorrectly with things like expression sliders active. If that happens, they become backend-dependent and can break a package.

So here’s where I mark the split:
→ The character is stable, finalized, and ready to polish or release
→ The build now moves outward into extra presets, pose sets, shaders, or expansion pieces
