Her name is Tristina Viola Gliese, of the noble Gliese family line.
Even in Space age, noble bloodlines, which many consider to be relic of the past, reings strongly over the political climate. Gliese's family was no different. They were rich and influential, mostly because of their booming energy business. The need to keep bloodlines pure and strong was ever important, and thus Tristina was set to be married into a Algol family. Call it a business deal or a marriage, it makes no difference. Tristina had a responsibility to carry out this political marriage, and she had the pride of Gliese family to do it with a smile.
But the noble title of Gliesele family would be purged out on the day of her wedding. One sentence on a paper ripped their business and assets away, drop of poison dragged her family to an early grave, and her soon to be spouse threw her away on the altar. In a quite literal sense, as her spouse arranged her to be launched off their quite lovely spacecraft into the deep abyss of a space.
With nothing left Tristina was left alone, still carrying disgraced name of Gliese with a pride, she decided to avenge her family and become menace lurking in the darkness of space.
After that she was known as the Bride of Nebula, sorrowful gaze of galaxies, cosmos' corsair, ghastly appearance of past.
Tristina has thing for the antiques. Thus even after years of stealing and clawing away Algol family's assets and honor, she wears the same wedding dress, carries same boutique of flowers and decorates herself in the same veil and family jewelry from the day she was set to be married. Only adding her late mother's cap to keep her family's memory going along with her. Of course as a ghost of a past, she opted out of fancy new space crafts, but carries her pirate crew with rather old-styled ship. Sight of her ship was unmistakable, a wave space dust and gas gliding along with it everywhere, almost as the ship was riding it, and the high mast carrying the ripped sail and the flag brandishing her family crest. Only thing accessory from the current era is her light blue energy sword, but that too was stolen just to spite her former spouse, as this was the very first energy sword produced by Algol's energy corporation.
Decades roll past and even with Algol family in the brink of bankruptcy she can't imagine her life in any other way. She may look grim, but she is quite happy with her pirate crew, her new family. Probably after she has achieved her revenge she will just set her sights on new target and live her corsair life until the very end.
So here is my little entry. I mostly wanted to practice painting style more, but I had a neat idea about Space pirate who has this bride aesthetic.
