A cursed monkey’s paw attempting to trap would-be wishers with cruel moral lessons has reportedly curled up and died after being thwarted by an autistic man’s many caveats.
Anand Trivedi, 38 - who was warned that each wish would come with hellish consequences as a punishment for tampering with fate - correctly figured that he could successfully catch the paw out in the small print.
Trivedi said: “As if a paw could be better than me at thinking up ways in which things could backfire. That’s my entire personality.”
“I spent three days making my first wish,” Trivedi continued. “I actually opened with the history of wishes and the evolution of monkeys before covering embalming, as it would all become relevant later on.”
“Unfortunately, the paw died before it could grant my wish - but I’m satisfied with the moral victory.”
