Your non-autistic friend is frothing with excitement at the prospect of you meeting the one other autistic person she knows, it has been rumoured.
Becky Armitage, 33, really thinks you’d get along with Paul Shinter, 58, on account of the two of you sharing a diagnosis.
Armitage explained: “I just think you’d have a lot to talk about. I know you’re a 28-year-old lesbian woman - but Paul’s also a bit… you know.”
“You have loads in common,” Armitage continued. “I met Paul at the bus stop. You like buses don’t you? Or is it just trains? I don’t want to be offensive.”
“Look, I just really want you to meet,” Armitage insisted. “I’m incredibly invested in this, for some reason.”
Shinter commented: “Huh??”
