A trivial social error has been greatly exacerbated by an autistic person’s unnecessary apology for it, sources have claimed.
The needless contrition reportedly comes after Kit McGodden, 27, referred to best friend Miya Wilkes, 26, as their “favourite” in front of two other close friends, Eddie Albington, 29, and Becky Armitage, 28.
McGodden said: “Oh God, I didn’t mean that literally. I mean, obviously you two are also my favourites.”
Armitage commented: “It’s fine, Kit, we know. Chill.”
McGodden then turned their anxiety spiral on Wilkes, explaining “I mean of course you’re my very best friend. I’ve known you since we were in nappies.”
This then prompted a long-winded monologue about how of course that’s not the only reason Wilkes is best-friend material, before ruminating again that they’d overdone it in front of Albington and Armitage.
McGodden was last seen making personalised apology cards for each friend, before making apology cards for the “borderline offensive” macaroni-art renderings of the three of them.

Too relatable. I called an aunt my favorite aunt in front of my other aunt when I was 10 and I still haven't recovered 😭😂
