House rules for the Daily Tism community

Hey gang,

Thanks so much to everyone who came to last night’s Patreon live with the wonderful Holly Smale! We had a great time hanging out with you all, as always.

Just to say we’re now aware that there was an individual making inappropriate comments in the chat. We can only apologise for not realising in real time and acting more quickly to make everyone more comfortable. We are amending our settings next time to make sure that Elsa and John both have admin capabilities and are appointing John community manager to monitor comments, so that it’s not disruptive to us when we’re trying to engage in the event.

We apologise to anyone who felt uncomfortable - we did too. We have removed the person from our Patreon and have written the following community rules, which we hope everyone can abide by in future.

Keep our community a safe space!

While we are all autistic and may say things clumsily at points, our priority must be the safety and well-being of all our members. Therefore anyone engaging in the following threatening behaviours will be immediately removed and banned from our Patreon list:

- Sexually inappropriate comments

- Any kind of discriminatory behaviour

- Any personal insults, harassment or abuse

- Any charged political discourse that makes others feel unsafe or unable to participate

Other house rules to ensure the privacy and safety of the sessions:

- Ensure you join the event in a suitable location (a private space such as a room in your home, where possible). This is to protect the privacy of other members of the group.

- Keep your microphone on mute. throughout the session until it’s your turn to speak. This helps prevent audio feedback.

- Privacy and confidentiality are paramount - Please don’t take photos or record the group meeting, and don’t share private or personal matters outside the group.

Thanks so much for everyone’s understanding and we can’t wait to hang out at the next live session!

Oh dear. The thumbnails changed on re-navigation. But I accidentally discovered a Paige Thomas, aged 31. Can you guys clarify whether or not these people are same-named, differently-aged on purpose? It's bothering me.

I was just browsing your website. I read a story about a Paige Thomas, aged 29. Then, as I was looking for another story to read, I saw one about a Paige Thomas, aged 34. Obviously, there can be two Paige Thomas in the world, but it was very unnerving to see these identically named, differently aged ladies next to each other on the same "paige" (hahahaha). Oh crap. It wouldn't let me post a screen shot. I will need to go find the story URLs.

Love that you called it out right away 👍
