An autistic woman has caveated a post with so many brackets that she has accidentally done an antisemitism, it has been revealed.
Lottie Fitzgerald, 26, was reportedly so anxious to avoid offending anyone that she qualified each statement of a perfectly benign post about her local deli with multiple parentheses, resulting in the use of triple parentheses, a far-right dog whistle to highlight Jewish targets.
Fitzgerald said: "I just wanted to support a local business by posting about their epic bagels. Then I got worried that I might offend another local café, which is run by a friend's cousin, so I thought I'd better qualify the statement. Then I panicked that they'd think I was saying their non-bagel food was shite, so I qualified it again. The next thing I knew, I was getting retweets from people with swastikas in their display names."
She added: "From now on I'm sticking with em-dashes."
