An autistic boy has warmed neurotypical hearts everywhere by acting just like a real person, his family have confirmed.
Finley Rice, seven, reportedly mimics everyday person behaviour by wearing cute little clothes, playing with toys and even walking on his hind legs.
His mother, Karen Rice, 38, said: “Despite being a person with autism, Finley seems to think he’s just a person. The other day, it almost sounded like he said ‘I love you, mum.’ Of course, having autism, Finley doesn’t know what that is and just likes the way the words sound, like a parrot, but it gave us all a much-needed laugh.”
“Sometimes he’s so good at it, it’s spooky,” said dad Graeme Rice, also 38. “He can mimic human huffing, eye rolling and I swear the other day he gave me the middle finger.”
Finley Rice commented: “The second I’m old enough, I’m moving out.”
