Added 2025-07-07 04:30:22 +0000 UTCSo most of the things in Jess' list were already covered in my "Gaming in Augmented Reality" extras post back in March, and for the third item, I'm still trying to settle on skill and memory augmentation would work (but maybe since its just research, it doesn't work).
Originally the last item in Jess' list was going to be Mind Uploading for the simple reason that Felix was going to complain about all the problems with it later in the story when he and Jess discuss Jess' internship at Linksoft. But then it felt like by mentioning it, I should do more with it, but it feels like a distraction from the main plot, so I'm leaving that topic out for now.

I mean a chef relies on their taste buds - how is that affected by the neural link and using other peoples bodies. Do they have to have an integration period where people who rely on their senses to a great extent have to recalibrate them when in a new body. Does a chef or wine taster have to get used to different physical palattes when in a new body?
