Extras - Fun with a Toon Shader

So, Daz just released a decent Toon Shader for their software, and after playing around with it, it feels promising (The 3D software Blender is really good with Toon Shaders, but I just haven't found a posing system in Blender that is as easy to use, quick, and ready to go as what I use with Daz).

Of course this toon shader still suffers from that weird lifelessness or rigidity that I find a lot of 3D cel-shaded art has. There's just something more dynamic that hand drawn art has compared to this.

Anyhow despite the promise this shows, I have no plans on changing the Robin and Liam comics to a different art style, and while this might be helpful with creating backgrounds for Being Fiona, I like how drawing Being Fiona almost daily has really helped me improve my hand drawing skills.

So for now, this is all just some fun experimentation on the side, experimentation that is currently restricted to Daz's Genesis 9 figure and products, which is a pain, because the majority of my Daz3D assets are for their previous Genesis 8 figures.

That's it exactly, I'm happy with how far I can now take this art style, but Fiona so much better. I'm tempted to make a short comic using this method, but I have the other three comics to worry about first!

I can see how this could speed up the art creation, the result is quite a bit impressive. Your current art is a notch above that however, in particular this does not reach Fiona's quality at all.
