Added 2024-09-10 12:13:27 +0000 UTCSo as I prepare for the next update to Liam's Journey, I'm debating which direction I want to take Otto's Backstory.
Last week I wrote the story into the direction where Otto doesn't want the staff to know about his transformation, so he and Isabel come up with this complicated plan where: Otto pretends to be a young highborn lady named Olivia who transforms herself into a pixie to get into the castle to ask Isabel for potion making lessons. Isabel, to see how committed 'Olivia' will be to her lessons, has Olivia do chores around the castle with the servants, and then after two weeks of full time chores and partial lessons, gives Olivia two weeks of full-time potion lessons. This is mixed with them coming up with excuses of where Otto is, with perhaps Isabel occasionally turning into Otto.
But the above outline is kind of complicated, so I'm thinking the better route is to change the last panel of the last update to Isabel simply telling Otto to deal with it, and she gives him a potion to temporarily hide his ears and magic. 'Olivia' then spends two weeks as a maid, and then after two weeks, 'Olivia' spends some time as a high born lady. The staff, used to Isabel's 'games', just play along.

2024-09-10 22:38:17 +0000 UTCI'd say some form of obfuscation is necessary because if the servants know the new girl is really their lord they will treat her differently even if she does do some chores. Regardless of whether the point is for her to learn their view point if they know in a week she'll be their lord again they wont treat her the same way they would a highborn lady from a different location much less a low born serving girl.
