She is seriously underestimating the powers at her disposal. When he said become someone different, I'm pretty sure he wasn't just talking about appearance. She is likely capable of altering her preferences and instincts however she pleases. I also wouldn't be surprised if she can have whatever skills and life experiences she needs to be whomever she wants to be. Like given the power levels at play there, I would honestly be surprised if she couldn't just make herself suddenly know what its like to be an astronaut, stunt driver, or UN translator as well as she knows her own life and then dismiss that conjured knowledge and 1st hand experience just as easily when she's done with it. It would probably take little more effort than shapeshifting does to suddenly be a social butterfly for whom it comes naturally to chat with entire groups of strangers and hold their interest to the point that they are hanging on her every word. All without using even the slightest bit of magic on anyone other than herself. That kind of instant, effortless competence alone is probably massively addictive.
