I did that in A20 too. You get the skill points back. People legit complained about "wasting skill points" if I didn't do it. I'm not kidding. That's why you lose the perk.

I did get a dirt bike to increase my search area I've checked the desert but haven't found a town in the snow yet. And just an observation, not bad or good, but I specked into forge and such so I could build a big forge and I did. Then I opened up laborer (it was my last class) and the big forge became locked again until a put points into laborer. To me it seems a bit odd to loose an ability when opening a class. It's not a big deal, I'm fine with it just seemed odd so I thought I'd mention it, for far future reference. Thanks again for all your hard work this is the only game I play. My ps5 sits idle.
