Patreon Goal Thingy?
Added 2021-03-22 18:30:26 +0000 UTCI want an opinion from all of you.
Patreon lets me set some kind of funding goal thing. I remember seeing it when I was setting everything up, but decided not to set one as I didn't have any kind of idea what I should set it to, or what I should set it FOR.
I kinda have an idea now. But since you guys are the patreons, I wanted to know... what do you think? Should I do one?
I was thinking of setting like $500 as the goal because that means I can put half towards mod specific stuff (assets mostly, I just bought some guns last month that cost $100 as an example) and the other half towards hardware that would benefit the mod (more RAM, SSD's, GPU upgrades, etc).
Thoughts appreciated. :)

Sounds good! More assets are sweet. Coffee is important. But overall, if you're happy, I'm happy. This mod has given me years of enjoyment, and I will likely trust whatever direction you want to take things.
2021-03-29 11:06:57 +0000 UTCI couldn't believe that like 4 gun models were $100. Jesus :D Also, TREES are like $40 a pop too. It's absolutely insane. The apple, orange, banana, coconut trees and wheat plants were $40 each, as an example.
2021-03-23 12:03:57 +0000 UTCI'm assuming you mean for monthly donations, which IMO is very reasonable considering how much time, effort and resources you've already put into DF. On top of that we are also getting a few episodes a week if you playing your own mod, which is a lot of fun. I'd suggest you just write it up similar to as you explained it to us, that one half would be used for resources for the mod and the other would be to keep your hardware up to date so you can continue working on the mod, as well as your coffee fund.

2021-03-23 01:04:47 +0000 UTCI basically live on coffee :D
2021-03-22 19:38:56 +0000 UTCI agree with the others. Both amounts and tiers would work.
2021-03-22 19:27:47 +0000 UTCI would contribute. I think it's definitely best of you include specifics (such as gun assets) if you know the cost. I know I'd jump on a fundraiser that listed out SOME (surprises are ok) new things that are in development. Just my thoughts.Appreciate your hard work. Keep it up!
2021-03-22 19:03:57 +0000 UTCSure go ahead. And if you want to add higher support tiers could do that as well.
