Fancy Movie Time #18: Mon Oncle (1958) and Playtime (1967)

On this special double-feaster episode of Fancy Movie Time with Brian and A.J., the Fancy Lads find themselves in the charming French village/terrifying modernist hellscape that is the world of Jacques Tati in what many consider to be his two masterpieces: Mon Oncle (1958) and Playtime (1967). Does his sense of playfulness and incredible attention to detail make these films a Fancy Feast? Or does their somewhat lugubrious pacing make them a Failure to Fancy? One thing's for sure: the lads DO NOT speak French.

I did, indeed, find a French-style accordion cover of the Monk music and you can find it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gPF67nYazU

did you just find a French-style accordion cover of the Monk music somewhere, or was this an original? Both answers are frightening!
