What I'm Up To 😁

HELLO GUYS!!!

How are you?!? 😁 
Super sorry for the recent lack of updates!!!
I'm officially back from another long trip to the US for the amazing NOVAOpen, ready to tackle the autumn and to close and recontextualise for you this crazy crazy summer!

Long story short... We are preparing to move to Australia 😅
and the irregular posting rhythm of these last few months is mostly due to the extra toll of energy, focus and trips needed to finalise this big life project!
Plus a few super interesting top secret plans more related to minis and painting 😉😉😉.
Before going into the details… try to keep this quiet because my family will know the news in person only around late November 😅.
I totally understand the irony (more hubris, lol) of asking THE INTERNET to be discreet about something, but you deserve to know this stuff and I’m counting on the low exposure to the web of my parents (that’s also why I’m not posting this as a 100% public post 😅).

As per our life in Ireland the trigger for this big change is my wife’s job and from next June/July we’ll be based in Melbourne for a minimum of two years!!!
We had the final official confirmations less than a month ago, aaaaand we are too Italian/superstitious (they are basically synonyms in this situation) to talk about these things before they are set in stone 😅, that's why I'm going "public" only now.
The “bad” news is that, at least from mid 2026 to early ‘27 (my last big thing will be AdeptiCon ‘26), I will be absent from the European real life scene of shows, Cons, events and workshops, but the balancing good news is that I will be way waaay waaaaaaaay more active with videos, tutorials and digitally in general 😉.
Honestly, even before considering the possibility of moving, that was kind of my plan for 2026/27. I LOVE teaching with all my heart, but travelling constantly is tough on many levels (the family one in particular); I’m still doing everything by myself, discovering and inventing this crazy silly “job” while doing it, and (it was probably obvious, but I had to hit my face hard a couple of times on this particular wall) if I focus my energy and attention on workshops and competitions I can’t really be active on Youtube and Twitch and vice versa.
My latest way to handle this dilemma is to decide in advance what I would like to focus on in the next year or two and plan and work accordingly, and this Australian adventure comes with the perfect timing to avoid the temptation/guilty pleasure of going around too much!
I can’t promise I will not try to organise something in Australia and surroundings 😋, but I’ll try to contain myself! Can’t wait to get in touch with the local painting and gaming community and if you are from around there, don’t be shy, and reach out 😉!!!
This is the big picture stuff!

On a “smaller” and smaller scale I’m still in the thick of events and you’ll see me in three weeks teaching and judging the painting competition at LVO (I didn't even empty my luggage for Nova 😅 I just replenished it with new paints and clothes!), judging (and I hope competing) at the Scale Model Challenge and competing at Monte San Savino; if you’ll be at any of these events come to say hi!!!
And my priorities for the next few days (I already deep cleaned and heavily reorganised the studio!) are to upgrade and reorganise the patron’s Discord and paint and post something cool for Youtube before jumping on the next plane (I actually have a couple of things that need only some editing, almost ready to go…)!
I’m super pumped by the crazy energy boost of the incredible time I had at NOVA and I had a bunch of time to think and elaborate new strange ideas, so my hands are itching like never before 😁!!!
