Thank you to the person who asked about civil disobedience. I think the Supreme Court lacks democratic legitimacy as currently constituted and I believe the legal system can't continue the way it is.

People are saying that the Court's immunity opinion can be confusing and difficult to follow: for example, in determining whether a non-core official act should be immune or not. It's been suggested that an effect, intentional or not, of this confusion and difficulty could be to arrogate power to the third branch. This sounds reeeeeeeely likely to me, but I wonder whether the Court sometimes just makes a huge boo-boo though everyone, including clerks, were meaning well and trying hard. Can the Court fix its own mistake, for example by issuing an updated opinion, without waiting for (or without transparently calling for) a new case to be brought in?
