His younger sister says something so wise in the movie, along the lines of "next time when you think back about the relationship, think of some of the bad things too"
2019-08-05 14:20:01 +0000 UTCThe expectations vs reality scene hit me hard when I watched it the first time. I have been in that situation so many times where you have this supposed wonderful future with a beautiful woman built up in your head. The movie captures the combination of horror and sadness that we all feel when our expectations of the relationship are not met. Once in a while, I’ll watch that movie again to remind myself that it is a common feeling shared by many. That helps me cope with being alone and suddenly, it’s not as big of a deal.
