Update Post, August 2nd 2024 (Patreon Appreciation Month!! 🥳)

Patrons, it's August, and around these parts, that means it's Patreon Appreciation Month!

We're now 9 years into the GaMetal Patreon campaign that allowed me to start making music full time, and once again I must express my sincerest gratitude to all of you for not only helping to make this happen in the first place, but for continuing to allow me to do this for so long! There've been many Patrons here over the years, some may only start for a month or two, but there are still some of you that have been here since the very beginning. Whether you just joined yesterday, or have been here since August of 2015, I can't stress enough how thankful I am to have your support. So to gush just once more: thank you so much for everything!! 😃

In to-do list progress, I fell behind a little bit last month due to my hectic moving situation, but was still able to squeeze in 4 songs before we hit August. I''m fully expecting this month to be jam packed with songs, at least 5, but will be shooting for 6+ if not more. I want to get the to-do list down as much as possible so we can hit up more PRL songs and ballot songs, and so I can finally finish up Project Peppermint.

The first 2024 ballot song pick, Prince Mush, will be up next as revealed a few days ago, the rest of the order will be very TBA as we have much more coming to the to-do list this month. I do plan on getting those vocal songs that've been sitting on the to-do list wrapped up ASAP (my apologies for keeping you all waiting so long for those!).

On to Patreon Appreciation Month festivities!

For those of you new around here, every August we celebrate the anniversary of the GaMetal Patreon with a few extra Patron influenced events. For starters, rather than choosing 1 song during our monthly Patreon stream and me handpicking the second, I'll instead beyopting out of my handpick (to remove any personal bias) and we'll be choosing three songs from the Patreon Request list during the monthly stream.

On top of that, we'll be choosing songs for two new console medleys, in which all Patrons are eligible to submit songs! Last year we took our first break from NES medleys and instead revisited SNES Medley for a second installment, and also chose songs for our first DS Medley.

This year, we're gonna do something similar, albeit slightly different. This year's medley choices will be for:

A second Game Boy Advance Medley! I was surprised to see how many people were interested in another GBA medley from the set of polls I did on YouTube a little while back, so decided to bring it back this year.

 ...and one many of you have been clamoring for: our first ever Wii Medley! This one, unsurprisingly, obliterated the other options in the 'potential new medley' poll I posted on YouTube a while back, so I think we gotta do it.

You can make your medley submissions over on this form. This form can be edited after you make your submission, in case you have any changes of heart between now and the Patreon stream. It will remain open until a few hours before the stream.

On that note, this month's Patreon stream will take place a little later than usual, which we normally do in August to give you all some more time to make medley submissions. This month's stream will take place on August 10th, starting around 4:00 PM US Eastern Time.
