🎃Update Post: Halloween Poll 2023!🎃

Hey Patrons!

The moment you've all been waiting for is here.. it's Halloween Poll time!

Choosing this year's Halloween Poll entrants was incredibly difficult. I had a much larger than usual shortlist of songs that I wanted to have you all choose between comprised of songs that you all suggested on the form/listening stream a few days ago, some past Halloween Poll contenders, and some Discord recommendations.

I was having a really tough time narrowing it down in a way where we'd have a fair fight among 3 or 4 songs, and not necessarily 1 or 2 songs dominating the field (a common problem of mine, when left to my own devices 😅). So, I turned to the GaMetal Discord for some help! I created a flash poll comprised of my 12 song shortlist for people to vote among, so I could get a much better idea of what songs would fare well against each other and help to avoid that whole 1-2 song domination bit. Thanks to that vote, I've now landed on the perfect mix of 4 songs for this year's poll.

That said, I have another surprise for you: this year we are not having just one, but...

TWO Halloween polls!!

The top 8 songs from that Discord form could easily be split into two groups. The top 4 (which we'll call Group A) were all very close to each other, and the 4 after (we'll call Group B) were also very close to each other (a great, and thankful, coincidence for this little plan of mine). So these 2 polls will be comprised of the songs within these groups.

This first poll will be those songs that held the #5-#8 spots (Group B). It won't be the song that drops on Halloween (Oct. 31st), but will come a couple of days or so before.

Those 4 songs are:

• Darkest Night (Shantae and the Pirate's Curse)
• Disco Necropolis (Skeleton Boomerang)
• I'm Every Reaper (Vampire Survivors)
• Pure Odio (Live a Live)

This poll will last for 2 days (closing this Sunday, Oct. 15th), and will be followed by the second poll (will make that one last a little bit longer at 3 days), which will decide this year's official Halloween Special dropping on Oct. 31st.

The four songs in the next poll will be:

• The Dark Lord's Wrath (Miitopia)
• Lichdragon Fortissax (Elden Ring)
• Haunted Ship (Sonic Rush Adventure)
• Master Porky's Theme (Mother 3)

Without further ado, let's get started with the B Poll!

Reminder: This poll will last 2 days, ending on the evening of Sunday, Oct. 15th. You can vote for more than one song in these polls.
