Update and Preview Post! April 21st, 2022

Greetings from GaMetal land, it's time for an update post!

Included with this post is a preview of the next song up: Battle With The Four Fiends (Dreadful Fight) from Final Fantasy IV! I'm just about finished with this one, you can expect the early download tomorrow (Friday) and the video up on Saturday.

The to-do list is about to get pretty full once again, as I have a ton of things coming for you all over the new few months.

Lost in Thoughts All Alone is finally nearing completion and will be ready by the last day of April.

Following that up is our annual May Madness event! For those new to GaMetal: every year I take a bunch of "old GaMetal' songs (made prior to 2015), as well as a song or two that appeared in a previous medley, and remake them to match the quality of modern day GaMetal. 

The request forms for May Madness remakes closed about a week ago, and I have since decided on all of the songs that will be remade this year. I'll be revealing all of these to you in a couple of weeks or so (early May), with a short reveal stream like we've been doing the past few years. I'll keep you updated in future update posts as to when this stream will take place.

Take my word: it's gonna be a good one!

Since a higher than normal amount of songs is coming next month, I'd like to remind everyone to make sure your pledge limits are set appropriately. I appreciate everything that you all that you contribute, but I'm not looking to break your banks! You can double check this over at the My Pledges page here.

After May we'll be left with the last two songs currently on the to-do list (The Sun Rises and Waiting For You), as well as our two monthly Patreon Request List songs from both May and June. The exact order of all of those songs will be determined after May, The Sun Rises likely being the first of the set. I almost forgot to mention: I'm looking to get the recent GaMetal Discord Request Battle winner, The 13th Struggle, finished and up in May along with the remake songs.

I have two other important events coming up in May as well:

It's been a long time since I've done a public Youtube Q&A Live Stream, so to celebrate May Madness festivities, I'll be doing one sometime next month.

On that same day, I'll be officially opening the 2022 GaMetal Song Ballot! BIG SHOT was the main song I wanted to get out of the way before opening the ballot, and now that it's finished, it's finally time to get the ballot ball rolling.

The date on the Q&A Stream / Ballot Opening is currently TBA, but I'd estimate it'd be sometime in the middle of the month. I'll let you know as soon as I can comfortably confirm a date.

I've been fervently working on upcoming songs, including the May Madness ones, so I haven't had much time to dedicate to Project Peppermint over the last few weeks. I'll be getting back to work on it as soon as I'm finished with all of the May remake videos, and should hopefully be able to at least get a reveal out sometime in June or July.
