Harley Quinns FUN GUN - Tutorial

Here are the two images I referenced when making the gun!
After some looking I found this toy shotgun for a really cheap price, this would be my base for her gun.
I unscrewed the green reload function on the bottom of the gun cause it was not needed! I also have been saving toilet paper rolls to use for this project, perfect light cylinder shape to use for the barrel of the gun!
After some taping and adjusting I got them to a point where I liked how it looked on the gun.
I then hotglued the rolls into place! Next part is hiding the rolls and making everything a little cleaner, for this I used 2mm thin craft foam and covered the rolls with it and used apoxie sculpt to fill in holes on the gun and smooth out sections, after the apoxie had dried for 24 hours I then sanded down the clay.
After this I primed the gun by spraying it with plasti dip.
Next came the fun part. Painting, you just have to go SUPER Slow with this to make it look as nice as you can. I freehanded everything for this but you could make a stencil for the diamonds if you wanted. I used basic acrylics for the most part and rub n buff for the gold/silver parts.
Now Harley has four stickers on her gun as well, I am currently waiting on this but they're already being made/shipped. I just used Redbubble to order them! You can find the stickers in my shop!
After adding those to the gun, it will be complete!! You don't always have to get a 3D printed piece/spend tONS of time/money on a prop. Sometimes using a base toy prop can be much faster and easier! Hope anything in this helps you out on a future cosplay!
