Discussion: May Madness 2020!

Good evening/morning/afternoon Patrons!

I was hoping to get the Battle of Award 42 video up earlier, but the video took me a bit longer to finish up than I anticipated.... but it's finished now and will be up tomorrow morning!

I mentioned in the last update post that I would be starting the May Madness 2020 voting process for Patrons with you all by the end of the weekend, so let's get to it!

....but first....

a surprise song reveal!

I have a song that I've been wanting to do for May Madness the past few years, but haven't gotten around to. It was one of my most popular 2010 songs, and I've still been getting requests to remake it, so this year's first confirmed May Madness remake will be:

The Main Theme from Super Smash Bros. Brawl!

So now that you won't have to waste any votes on that one, here's a quick recap of how GaMetal May Madness works, for those unfamilar or needing a refresher:

Every May I take a bunch of old GaMetal songs and remake them, along with a few new songs (normally from the to-do list). Usually I end up with 6-7 songs total, with 3-5 of those being remakes.

Last year's remakes, which were among the top from both the Patreon and Youtube voters, were Isaac's Battle Theme, Bowser's Rage / King of the Koopas, City Escape, The Ultimate Show, Zero Two, and even though it came after May, I did end up remaking Dancing Mad.

Once again I'd like to know what old GaMetal songs you'd like to hear remade this year. This would be songs from 2009 to 2014 (I've decided not to remake any 2015 stuff just yet), that I haven't already remade for a previous May Madness or already done a full version of. I've created a full list of eligible songs for reference that you can check out here. Single songs that have appeared in medleys (IE Ridley's Theme, Splash Woman), from any year, are also up for consideration. If you're confused about any particular old song, feel free to ask and I'd be more than happy to answer.

Also, as a friendly reminder, I won't only be going with the songs with the most votes, so songs that don't place in the top aren't necessarily counted out.
