Preview, Stream Recap, and Update Post! March 5th

Hey Patrons! This post, as mentioned yesterday, will be a combination Preview, Stream Recap / Handpick Reveal, and Update Post.

First off, the preview of The Battle of Award 42: who is featured?

The Battle of Award 42 will feature our friends InsaneInTheRainMusic on Tenor Sax and Sax Dragon Carl Catron on the Aerophone (Organ)! Insane has joined me before a few years ago on our Hydrocity Zone collaborations, and both Insane and Sax Dragon were a part of the Pepsi Man Pepsi Jam. I've invited both to be part of what will surely be the battle-iest of award 42s.

I'm looking to have this one finished and up before the end of the weekend!

It seems Touhou fans have been getting their fill lately. This will be the 5th Touhou GaMetal remix, and the 4th in almost the span of a year.

And now, for my handpicked request list choice for the month:

There's a series that I didn't get around to last year that I had previously been doing a song for every year for 3 years straight, despite it being a hit pretty much every time I've done it. So in order to catch back up, I've decided on going with...

Pursuit ~ Lying Coldly from Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth, from the list of theflowergarden! 

This has been one of the more popular Ace Attorney requests for a little while. Although it failed to win an Ace Attorney themed poll I had on here a couple of years ago, it's still been on and off a few different folks' request lists, a common song I see in YT comments, and was, from what I'm seeing, the most requested AA song from the 2020 Song Ballot.

Lastly, before I go, here's a bit of an update post, since I didn't get to one yet this month:

Happy March! I was hoping to get through 4 songs last month, but decided to hold off on Award 42 so I could work with it a little while longer, otherwise I would've ended up rushing the production and no song ever deserves that, haha. Here's a current look at the to-do list:

It might seem like it's filling back up again, but we did just add another 3 from the ballot results, plus today's drawing and handpicked choice. It should look better by the end of the month, but more importantly, every song that was chosen in 2019 should be finished by April, meaning we can then move on entirely to 2020 picks!

Although the to-do list may look somewhat crazy, I'm thinking about making it a little bit crazier..

May Madness is approaching!

I've decided that I want to start working on May Madness stuff a little bit more in advanced this year, so I'm going to start the May Madness voting process for Patrons in a few days. For those who haven't been around for the past couple of years: 'll be making a discussion post where you can comment 1 to 3 old GaMetal songs that you'd like to hear remade, 'old GaMetal' being anything made before 2015 (I've decided to not include 2015 yet this year).

I'll go into a lot more detail in that post, look for it to drop this weekend!
