Update Post! March 18th

Good morning/afternoon/evening Patrons!

Today is a special day because later, we're finally going to reveal and take a first look at the mysterious Project Dream, but first, I wanted to make a general update post for everything else unrelated to that.

The next song up is still Battle! Gladion. I should be able to have that one done and up by the middle of the week (shooting for Thursday). Expect a preview by Tuesday.

I've found a partner for the Unknown from M.E. remix! You might remember this was a drawing winner back in January, and I had mentioned that I'd be looking for someone to collaborate with for the rapping sections. I got back into contact with an old friend of mine, ShaoDow, and he's all in on joining me for this one, so now I can get the ball rolling on getting this song complete!

The first few GaMetal songs of 2018 are now available on Spotify and iTunes! I'm still learning how this system works since I'm new to it, and I've discovered a few things since releasing the first batch of songs (currently, everything from Lightning Battle to Captain America). For starters, I can't add songs to an album after it's been distributed without first taking down the entire album and putting it back up again. I wouldn't have to pay for the mechanical licenses again, but it's a process that would take weeks to complete if I wanted to take down and re-upload an album with the latest tracks.

So what I'm going to do is release the songs in 5-7 song bursts, titled something along the lines of 2018 Pt. 2, Pt. 3, etc, and give each set a unique album art. So for example, the next Spotify/iTunes release will be Egg Reverie, Egg Dragoon, Battle! Gladion, and the next 2-4 songs as 2018 Pt 2.

At the end of the year, since I don't have to repay for the licenses if I were to ever take songs down, I'll take down all of the 2018 Pt. X 'albums' and re-bundle them all together as GaMetal VIII with bonus tracks and potential remasters (which honestly I don't think we'll need this year, but we'll see!).

I'm still planning on re-uploading some of the older popular songs, so I'll let you know when I get those up. :)
