2026-01-17 02:17:19 +0000 UTCPD, I actually am waiting for you to react to plave for so longgg 😂 bc I know you will gonna love their song! I think that’s really what makes people double think of whether to listen to plave or not; being a virtual group. But honestly, you can’t really feel that gap when you listen to them. Amidst of all that’s happening to kpop rn for 4th gen and 5th gen, as a 3rd gen fan, they feel like a breath of fresh air. (The reason why their fans are mostly from 2nd to 3rd gen)

2026-01-15 12:04:52 +0000 UTCi have waited for u to check them out properly just give them a chance and it feels so good hearing u say this about them. I am happy I thought u would really like their music fr im glad u were proven wrong pd i say this in the best way. A lot of people would like them if they just gave them a chance. Also lowkey teared up in your comments in the last minute or two because this is literally what plave stands for, the boys want to get that music and their talent to be what wins people over and im sure they would be happy to hear that too.

2026-01-15 07:05:07 +0000 UTCi knew you would like them LOL this is the universal plave experience for the average older kpop fan: from "what the fuck is this?" to "wait a sec the music is lowkey hitting?" theyre made fun of for being virtual but their music and sound is a lot more raw and human than most of the kpop releases today.

2026-01-14 21:27:09 +0000 UTChahaha PD, I get you – I had no history with rap and hip hop music prior to BTS and was in this teenage edge camp of "im a rock kid, i hate shitty rap" that was popular in my culture – and then i ate my fckign words with BTS lol! Same thing with Cortis – I am not a huge fan of Travis Scott as in I dont' listen to this type of music on a regular basis, but Cortis is exception ahaha So I understand what you mean :D Super glad you are getting into PLAVE – I was honestly very skeptical of them too before I heard their music, and now we are here – I used them in my business presentation in Uni, lol!

2026-01-14 19:59:15 +0000 UTCIt's funny you mentioned CYE and Cortis for new groups doing more rich music like PLAVE without mentioning arguably their closest equivalent - AHOF. 😅 Of course part of it is because El Capitxn produced both debuts (he was very closely involved in PLAVE's music in the beginning before the members took over). But I also think they run along the same continuum, whereas AHOF feels more youthful and PLAVE is more mature. Also, I'm DYING to hear them cover Wait For You, ESPECIALLY Park Han. Him doing Noah's (blonde guy) parts would heal me.

2026-01-14 15:06:03 +0000 UTCThe three-step high note in Wait For You is Bamby (pink hair)! Noah (blondie, one of the producer members) tends to give/forcefeed Bamby a lot of high notes in songs. Bit of Plave lore dump because the lore is always relevant with Plave and Asterum is very much a reoccurring theme: Asterum is their home. It's where they were brought to from Caelum, their original planet, and from Asterum they can communicate directly to Terra (Earth). (If you ask the members anything about Asterum they'll tell you it's almost exactly like Terra in many ways, just a bit more magical lol.) The origin of the members is that they're all manhwa/webtoon characters whose individual universes were slowly disintegrating as their webtoons lost popularity and faded from public consciousness (all except Hamin, whose webtoon hadn't even been published therefore he basically lived in a computer and was more or less downloaded to Asterum; this is also why Hamin has no given birth year on his profile. All of this will make a bit more sense when you watch the Wait For You MV btw lol). There is a LOT more lore I will not bother confusing you with for now but the main thing to keep in mind (and something that is frequently glossed over imho) is that taken all together, it is one big metaphor for an artist's relationship to their fandom, and how the fans' ongoing love and support (literally) keeps them alive. Also lore about this single itself is that when they found out VLAST were ordering 5000 copies for sale, the members all freaked out because they thought there was no way they were going to sell that many. I believe it's now sold in excess of 260K. I think the more you get to know Plave and their music, the more you get to know the humanity behind them (and there is a lot, the members have been through so much individually and now together) and that virtual wall gradually comes right down. It's very normal to not jive with the virtual aspect at first; a lot of fans (including myself) started out that way... now I eat, breathe and sleep Plave lol.

2026-01-14 14:44:25 +0000 UTCOh my gosh it has finally started! The PLAVE discography journey! "Wait for you" is so dear to me and will always make me cry whenever I watch their concerts or any live performance. The one doing the triple high note is Bamby (pink hair dude) And Pixel World is just sooo wholesome and never fails to make me smile. Will you also be reacting to their MVs/Performance videos? I would really be interested to hear your thoughts on their animation and visual storytelling (esp. the 6th summer and dash MVs) (honestly I wouldn't mind if you would do it as a marathon stream or even decide to just enjoy it in private bc the visual journey is just as satisfying as the discography journey in my opinion)

2026-01-14 14:37:29 +0000 UTCplave music/performances come from the heart and I think it's because all the members do their own music and choreography. everything is self-made so it resonates more (at least to me) I got into plave because their music and humor remind me of btob so much

2026-01-14 14:25:57 +0000 UTCi'm not that familiar with plave's discography aside from bbuu which i really love, but wait for you makes me cry, it's so good and their emotions are coming through the song
