2026-01-14 19:42:35 +0000 UTCJungmin had to leave due to health issues. He had to take time off training and focus on his recovery, and with the group already having confirmed their predebut NCT Nation performance, as well as the predebut tour they did in Japan, and their debut date being less than a year from the end of the show, they couldn't really wait for him, and he wouldn't have had the time to train properly before debuting. It's unfortunate, but I honestly think the current lineup for NCT Wish is perfect. They don't feel like they're lacking in any way or in need of another member, so while it is a shame, I think it worked out for the best for them. Jungmin is still singing last we heard and he's shown support for the NCT Wish members on social media and stuff too.

2026-01-13 15:36:54 +0000 UTCNow my question would be did she fully end her contract only as an artist or as an employee. Cause she could have 2 separate contracts. I hope she stays as the producer role.

2026-01-13 14:25:05 +0000 UTCIn the previous episode you asked why they included people like Heitetsu, Haruta and Kassho. SM had announced plans for various boy groups including Japanese boy group, so they most likely wanted them to get some recognition before being placed to the Japanese group

2026-01-13 13:44:27 +0000 UTCi only knew of Jungmin and him being supposed in NCT Wish through the Lastart Reaction. I just binged all episodes on my own and found it out that way and i`m going to be straight up honest: i don`t really see Jungmin being part of Nct Wish. Vocally he is not bad but overall, the vibe and even visually with the whole group...i don't think he would have really fit in.

2026-01-13 05:30:46 +0000 UTCSince every NCT unit debuted with 7 members (NCT U is hard to say, since Kun only featured on Chinese Without You, but I count that as his debut, because before Korean music shows, their very first public stage performance was in China during a festival or something and so Kun was there with them for the very first public moment), I figured SM will make a surprise by the end to debut 7 of them and when JaeHee was added to the show, I knew they would do that for sure and he would be the one, who makes it too. So my top picks were: Riku, Jungmin, Ryu, Anderson and Sakuya. Because I had prejudice against contestants being added to survival shows after any amount of rounds the rest of them had had to work hard. Looking at it now, I have to admit JaeHee would have done good regardless and they did not include him from the beginning just for the surprise effect. So now my picks would be: Riku, JaeHee, Ryu, Anderson and Sakuya. Sure… I am biased in this regard towards Ryu, but the thing is I am not sure if JungMin would have been a good choice regardless of his health. Ryu is not good at dancing, but JungMin has only the benefit of training longer and still he is not great and besides that (looking at the show now again) he is SUPER ROBOT-like. In your video of your experience of tripleS concert you mentioned how the girls look at you and connect with you through their eyes and aura and it took the seeing idol perform live effect to brand new level. And I cannot imagine JungMin doing… not this tripleS level but even any idol-like performance. Like… rewatching this with you I am shocked I was okay with this and thought it would get better. Obviously we do not know that, but he feels super robotic the whole show all the time. The reason I did not include Ryo is because… hmm… it is hard to explain… I definitely noticed him more this time, but for example Sakuya (who I had in both line ups of mine as the fifth “bonus/surprise pick”) stood out and caught my attention WAY MORE this time that I would even consider him replacing Anderson if I could choose only 4… Plus considering JaeHee and Ryu being main vocalists and Sion with Yushi being very solid vocalists too. It makes me want Anderson as their third rapper to Riku and Sakuya more than another vocalist (Ryo)

2026-01-12 22:22:40 +0000 UTCJungmin was also my bias pre-debut, I love NCT Wish now but we could've had a power main vocal duo. I follow Jungmin on his instragam and he was still following SM and NCT accounts and was under Vocal Director Jang, private vocal coaching company, he used to do lives and updates. He once posted that he will be inactive and will go back to training but came back active, i guess it fail through again. But I recently checked his account and it's seems already deactivated. I just hope we hear some good news from him soon.

2026-01-12 21:19:54 +0000 UTCDisagree. This is the paradigm of being an idol. You can have the most memorable part with the LEAST amount of lines. Quite literally my biggest stanned groups are SEVENTEEN and tripleS, where members have to fight to be seen. I think the greatest example is Minghao and Jun from SVT, whom even since early in their careers, always stood out despite having only ONE center speaking position. Minjae just doesn’t have it. He’s clearly tense and unable to slip into a performance in every stage from the show. It‘s a mental issue not a skill issue. It just means he was nowhere close ready to debut. So when you have less to do, these are actually double edged swords that give you less to do, and if you play your cards right, you can just wow and have a showstopping moment when it’s finally your turn up in center. Survival shows ESPECIALLY have illustrated the power of a “one moment WOW factor” In shows like BOYS PLANET. I can‘t speak for where he’s at now but it’s very clear he can‘t immerse whether he has less or more lines. Less lines should have been advantageous for him, as they say, the more lines you have the bigger the burden. It‘s like the MAIN thing about idols. Gotta make us believe. I stand by my Minjae critique of him at this point in time; and it’s only through critique we improve. I don‘t know where he is at now but the hope is always hopefully he‘s cracked it by now.

2026-01-12 21:12:43 +0000 UTCJungmin is my biggest what if…like Nct wish works great as a 6 member group and they are perfect as they are but jungmin would have brought something special He drop out just before they released their first MV when they were called Nct new team because of health reasons. There is a performance I think from Japan with the seven members for hands up but is kinda burried lol

2026-01-12 20:09:09 +0000 UTCI hope that after LASTART, you will be interested in watching their variety content, such as NCT Wish in Jeju!

2026-01-12 17:22:00 +0000 UTCThere are more episodes after the next one, so not everything being teased at the end here is in the 8th one, but those episodes are Japanese exclusive and therefore hard to get, I think I managed to save episode 9, but then there are like one or two episodes more anyway… There is also a performance video of Hands Up with JungMin, I have it saved if you are interested…

2026-01-12 17:12:11 +0000 UTCi will say that criticising Minjae for not standing out this performance when he had like 2 lines and was at the back for most of the dance sections was harsh. Also your confusion around Jungmin makes sense as he had to drop out due to his health
