January 2026 Schedule

Happy New Year everyone! Here’s the schedule drop for January 2026.

Kulture Study & Bonus Drops are back.

After a break in December, when comebacks and debuts virtually slow, we’re back with more Kulture Study videos this month and hoo boy we’ve got Apink, DK x SEUNGKWAN, ALPHA DRIVE ONE, and much more already on the horizon for this month. So stay tuned!

AWARD SHOW REACTIONS

Since I can’t control what award shows release what videos when it caused a bit of a mix up in the December schedule. People were asking where certain award show reactions were, but they had not even aired because broadcasting stations did the Japan ones weird. So to clear any mix up I’m just reserving Tuesdays as “award show reactions” and I’ll just be checking out what is out and available at the time!

FLAGSHIP GIRL GROUP SERIES?

It’s been a few months since our last poll so I’ll be running polls again for our flagship girl group series which will premiere in February. The question will be: GG variety or SWF? Boy group survival shows will be ending in February, and I need a break from survival shows, so I’ll be going back to boy group variety for a bit. SWF I assume is not a “survival show” in the typical idol group sense so I don’t have issues with it; just want to gauge what our general audience here would like.

PATREON TIER changes in February.

So I tried something in 2024 ~ 2025 and it apparently only greatly confused new Patrons coming in. And now with livestreams and movie clubs, discord perks in our rotation, I’ll be updating our tiers.

DRAMA & ANIME CLUB FIRST tiers will be eliminated. I have been signaling since last summer that these tiers will be eliminated at the end of the year, and so this is your 30 day advance notice!

There are two few people in this tier to keep them active and it only adds to the confusion. K-POP FIRST tier will stay but tier perks will be re-clarified and all the tiers will be rebranded to make the separation much more distinct.

I’ll be going back to my old system of just FOUR core tiers which seemed to cause less confusion.

• SPRING (formerly K-POP FIRST)

• SUMMER (formerly GROUPY)

• AUTUMN (formerly GROUPY+)

• WINTER (formerly GROUPY FIRST)

Full breakdowns and explanations of tiers will be coming out in its own post at the end of January. This will really only affect FIRST tiers, and for other tiers the only thing changing is the name of your tier.

NEW ANIME & DRAMA CLUB

With our Haikyu!! journey officially wrapping up with the movie, we will be taking suggestions for new anime series to replace it (do not leave suggestions on this post, a separate post will be made) and subsequently, a poll will be held for it.

Same goes for Drama Club! With the end of Alice In Borderland Season 3 we’re going to need a new series to take over so a suggestion post and a separate poll will take place this month as well!

FINAL THOUGHTS

Mmmm 2026 is going to be a very important year for me. I’ve made a lot of personal life decisions, some of which is private and some of which I will share later on. But the past two years have felt like a hibernation to re-tool, re-wire, heal and evolve myself.

I’m still not perfect, but I have spent the past 6 months taking steps to foster more of a community on this Patreon, something I’ve been wanting to do a while, and this next year I’ll be taking even bigger and bolder steps for my work, career, and dreams.

I will greet you separately about all this later in podcast form, but for now I just want to encourage you all a wonderful new year. I mean that more than I’ve ever meant it.

“Happy new year” is just a phrase people say but this year truly feels like a refreshing step forward for me. I feel the most whole I’ve ever felt, and I am finally ready to become the best version of myself. I extend that same pool of vitalizing mana unto the rest of you as well.
