In the HxH world, there are so many weird and hyper-specific Nen abilities that I wouldn’t say it’s the only way. But I can confidently say it’s the fastest one we know of. We never saw this part in the anime, but in the manga the narrator says this: "Gyro left town and dissappeared without encountering Gon. Whether this proved to be fortunate for either party will not be known until they ultimately meet."

2025-12-21 11:42:27 +0000 UTCI think what Knov meant when he said that we must save Gon is that Gon is literally a hero who saved all of humanity by defeating the ants (specifically Pitou). Knov has gain a new respect for Gon. In the beginning of the arc when Knov was introduced, he looked down on Gon and Killua for being children and running away when Pitou attacked them and killed Kite. But after Knov snuck into the castle and came face to face with Pitou’s aura, it shattered his spirit and had to drop out of the fight. At the same time, Knov gained a new respect for Gon and Killua for being brave enough to return to the fight and face Pitou a second time even after having once encountered the same aura deeply scarred him.
