I stopped by ep 13 when I was watching this on my own cause I know how devastating it would be to see the finale and I finally did. Never cried so much in my entire life ๐ญ

I relate a lot to this show, even though i'm not korean or even asian but you're right it touches so many aspects of life that in can touch & aspire so many people in different ways. I've watched so many shows with you on Drama Club through out the years starting with Hotel del Luna all the way back, but this journey felt really special and gave me an even deeper appreciation of the drama and what it stands for. So thank you for these reactions & here's to all we've been through!

But it is a beautiful mix of sorrow, nostalgia and at the end just happiness so I dont mind the tears even on my 5th or 6th rewatch lol

When you put all the lines together, they read like a poem with a really touching message. Vol. 1 ๊ฐ์ ํ๋, ๊ฐ์ ๋ณ, ๊ฐ์ ๋ง์์ ์๊ธด. (The same sky, the same stars, etched in the same hearts.) Vol. 2 ์ฐ๋ฆฌ์ ์ธ๋ฆผ์ด ํ๋ฅด๊ณ ํ๋ฌ, ๋ํฌ์๊ฒ ๊ฐ ๋ฟ๊ธฐ๋ฅผ. (In the hope that our echoes will flow and flow until they reach you.) Vol. 3 ๋ํฌ๋ ์์ด๋ ๋ง ํด, ๋ฐ์ ํํ ๊ตด๋ฌ. I just think this message perfectly captures the heart of the drama for me. The relationships between parents, kids, partners, etc. feel so viscerally real for me. I felt myself cry almost every episode with either remembrance for my life and what could have been. I also don't know my biological father and my step-dad isn't really a parental figure in my life. Seeing the love and adoration between gwangsik and geumyoung genuinely made me cry so much with a piece of life I wish I could experience. It reminds me of how I felt when I saw reply 1988's bora and her dad dongil's relationship(especially the wedding). All-in-all I told myself I would never watch it again(I chose to watch it again to watch it with you) but I'll probably take at least a year break again from this show. It just gives me too many feelings that can be too emotionally taxing to deal with at times

Although Iโm not Korean, I noticed that Central Asian culture feels very close to Korean culture, so I was able to find something relatable in every single episode.
