Movie Club Week 1

These movies are a mix of both K-movies and non-K movies. All the suggestions here were collected from suggestions sent in by GROUPY FIRST club members but I chose which movies made the poll based on my own personal interest to see them as well as the seeming frequency of the suggestions.
Note: I've seen some of the movies that were suggested so yes, for example, while SINNERS may be good, it's not something I'll watch for like the 6th time this soon.
So I've picked movies I haven't seen or been meaning to watch, or ones that had multiple suggestions!

Yeah there's many good movies on the poll but Love and Leashes is kind of a "niche" movie I suppose, so none of the reactors I watch have watched it. I think maybe they've been worried about it being too explicit? Idk. I hope that if it doesn't win now it will be included in the week 3 poll cause it's such a fun watch🥹

2025-12-08 04:07:36 +0000 UTCThe conflict for me is I’ve already watched Love and Leashes but I’m so passionate about it as a hidden gem, genuinely such a well paced movie with a lot of heart; I think people scoff at the premise easily of “oh it’s just kinky stuff haha” but it definitely felt like they got a consultant for BDSM or they did proper research in the way it’s portrayed—sure there are funny elements but it never makes their connection or love any lesser for the sake of taking BDSM as a gimmick and don’t cop out for saying something more shallow, it is serious about having three dimensional characters and it’s honestly one of the most healthiest and accurate media representations of BDSM relationships and the communication that is also required of it
