Listening Party: YEONJUN 'NO LABELS: PART 01' EP

Comments

We really need Coma live performance reaction

Alé

Yeonjun did say that GGUM was just an appetizer and he wasn't lying! He also said that him being shirtless wasn't to show off his body but an artistic choice and I think you got that on the money with the idea that he is showing off who he truly is. It's hard to choose a favorite song cause they're all fantastic, I've been listening to this album on repeat, but the one I keep going back to is Coma, also just that trio of songs at the end of Do it, Nothin' 'Bout Me, then Coma is amazing.

agree with what you said between talk to you and forever. his vocal delivery throughout this EP was outstanding

emilie

He's already told us that he knows the songs for part 2 sooooo 👀 But even for him hes always said TXT comes first so I dont believe we will get part 2 for a while to work on group projects but I dont think it will be too long. I think Coma is my favorite on the album but its so hard to actually pick a favorite. This album is soooooo him im obsessed. Someone else mentioned it but I do hope you check out the behind content! TXT has always been very involved in their music but with their solo work they really get to be 100% involved in everything and I love how much he documented for us to watch.

I really want to see Yeonjun and Yungblud do an actual song together... I know Yungblud made the track for "Ghost Girl" & Yeonjun preformed it, but them together would be INSANE! As a fan of both, and knowing that they both respect each other as artists, it would be a clash and beautiful mesh of music. I also agree PD, the vynil of this will be IMMACULATE. Definitely going to be my most replayed K-pop solo album (if we can even call it that bcz this is just art as your said) for a long time. My favorite song has got to be "Talk To You", but right behind it is "Let Me Tell You", & all the other songs are tied 😅

Natasha Huppler

Let Me Tell You and Forever are probably my two faves off this EP but I also REALLY love Talk to You. I don’t mean this in a bad way but Yeonjun can REALLLLY play an F boy well 😂 Forever is such a nice song to have playing while walking through the city and running errands. I am so excited for part 2 Edited to say: Nothin Bout Me instrumental sounds so much like Sticky by Tyler the Creator just with a completely different topline. So now I’m wondering if him saying sticky in the lyrics is a reference or a coincidence

Pd, you absolutely get it. The thing for me is like, you can't rate it objectively because it's just the most genuine piece of artwork in which we're literally seeing YEONJUN, this is purely, iconically and genuinely himself and I couldn't love it more!! I feel so insanely proud of him!! I do reccomend watching the making of/behind the scenes videos of the album (4 vids in total) it's really interesting!! Also the stages and choreos are CRAZY good, the stage presence, omg!! yeonjun also made the choreography for a couple songs!

My favourite is this trinity; Do It, Nothin' Bout me, and Coma. Fyi, Yeonjun said this on his interview with SiriusXFM, he wrote all the lyrics for Coma. So proud of him on this project.

MioneTwin (my-oh-nee Twin)

You got it

Stephanie Dockery

Aside from amazingly genius COMA, Do It is my favorite becauuuuseeeee brass sectionnnnn rrraaahhhh 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Astari Laksmiwati

I've been waiting for thissss. He also released the behind process of the whole production and recording journey on their youtube! I think it'd be great if you can react to them as well 🤙✨

Astari Laksmiwati

forever has to be my fav off this ep but you’re right do it is jut SOOO SEXY and creative. i’ve come to like it the more i listen to it! but still after all this time forever is still my favorite i love that song so much

asha

chelsey

Personally have had Nothin' Bout Me on repeat for weeks but some songs took a few listens for me to decide I liked them. I would absolutely recommend checking out the behind videos, they honestly made me appreciate the album a lot more (not that I didnt before lol). Also can't wait for you to experience the insanity that is the livestages. Bro and his handheld mic were going crazy. He has one for coma too btw. Sidenote: he's already working on part 2 and I need it now.

AsaiRen

EXACTLY my first thought was RM’s album

Jet

I totally agree with you! It's so original and so deeply him and clearly he put this album together himself even if you take into account that he didn't compose/write everything himself. My immediate comparison was RM's RPWP, super raw, very little worry about what's going to work on a commercial perspective, just doing what feels right.
