same reason Leeseo wasn't on the first season.......being underage and the new labor agreement is pretty strict about the # of hours underage idols/actors are allowed to work. Since this is overnight, it probably exceeded the maximum hours allowed

They released an extended version of 'dare to crave' (dare to crave: epilogue) a few days ago with a few extra songs and I would highly suggest checking it out. I've literally just listened to Lemonade fever for the first time and it is currently on repeat. The original album has some amazing bsides (paranoia, underdog, stadium, marionette, now oxygen, etc) in addition with set, net, go as the title track. Also in case you didn't know, Joohoney helped write and produce underdog and you can really see his style in the song! As for the game caterers, I love the starship episodes so much. They really have that 'family' feel and the interactions between the idols and actors are such another fun added element. I can't wait for the next episode

I thought it would be Kwangsoo leaving that killed the heart of the show (and man he dealt a huge blow) but Somin was the last straw imo. They called Somin and Kwangsoo “또라이“ on the regular which basically means crazy person or weirdo. And truly those two were the only ones that took things to insane levels of commitment. I recently rewatched the two times Somin has returned as a guest and GOD she brings the magic back with her. She really makes the show more whimsical.

2025-11-12 03:28:33 +0000 UTCKwangsoo mentioned it when him and Woo Hyun were chatting during season 1 but in the beginning beginning of RM, he actually was really worried about letting out his hijinks and calling out people or being mean but the audience really responded to it and once he had that confirmation he just went with it. His pairings with various guests throughout RM (probably the MOST iconic being Lee Da Hye) really is something that current day RM just doesn't have anymore. There isn't ANYONE who can fill that space.....most of the OG members are way too old, Jee Suk Jin is way too looserish, Jaesuk could never (outside of the regular cast members) given his position as nation's host, JK is TOO physically daunting and actually nice, Haha has become the stereotypical '40s korean guy' who tries too hard, Jihyo is just too lazy, Sechan got saddled with the young guy just looking for a gf concept, and the newer members are ALRIGHT but just not MEAN (Ye Eun is basically the female sechan concept-wise and Daniel Choi is just such an airhead). Being allowed to be MEAN but still popular in korean entertainment is so so so so so so rare. I'd like to stipulate....Im not calling these people what I described.....just that that's their particular concept for the show

Even though JYP had 2 PM there being somewhat comic, you could still tell the younger idols were so scared. Having professional comedic actors willing to just RAG on each other really drives the Starship one forward

Also, interaction between idols and actors overall is *chef’s kiss*. Edit: Also, you mentioning about the current RM after Kwangsoo and Somin left not being the same. Hate to admit but it’s true even though newer members also did a great job so far.

I guess they’ve gotten much closer in these 3 years because that was such an affectionate hug between him and Hyeongjun. Makes me happy to know they have him in their corner, since lawd knows Starship and their management team are a piece of work.
