It's been a long time coming, but here I present you to the link of months of handiwork in the form of a tribute to one of the more infamous TF games out there. Latex Legacy, or simply 'Legacy.'
Legacy is based in ZXC's Latex Dungeon, a game involving Raven and various corruptive transformations from hordes of enemy fights. It takes that basic concept, reuses some art and assets (With ZXC's permission and blessing) and puts a new spin on the entire game. Featured in the Legacy prototype is 3D rendered environments, an onscreen equipment system and the basic gist of the game's HUD and UI.
One of the most prominent features of the demo displayed is the combat system. It's a little different than most rpg maker styled RPGs since all combat takes place on-map and it's instantaneous. These sort of auto-battles are decided by randomized outcomes based on stats before you even agree to fight.
Basically, you get the information you need before you engage an opponent (damage range compared to your HP, probability of victory chance) and can decide whether you'd like to fight or not! This becomes important in the main game where you're trying to save as much HP a s possible to make it through difficult dungeons and chance your survival. There are also potions, which amp your health to full and act as extra-lives of sorts, they're automatically used up in battles mid-combat and basically add to the probability you'll win..
Did I mention the equipment system comes with flashy visuals for every wearable armor? It'll eventually connect to the 'Ending/TF' concepts I have planned aswell, making the forge/smithing parts of the game I'll implement later hopefully more attractive.
You can have a quick test here if you want!
That's all I have for this month, I hope you enjoy.
