K-POP is eating at the GRAMMYs this year

HUNTRIX’s GOLDEN and ROSÉ’s APT. are both up for best pop duo/group performance of the year.
Even crazier is that KATSEYE is nominated for best new artist 😱
Both GOLDEN and APT were insanely viral and infectious tracks… I have no idea how the heck they’re going to choose… What would be your pick between the two?
And how good are KATSEYE’s chances are nabbing that best new artist win? 🤔

Lmao I know it’s a constant debate, but at the end of the day they’re produced by hybe and they promote their releases in Korean music shows…. No other “American pop” artists are doing stages on music bank 😭😭

2025-11-08 18:25:17 +0000 UTCI don't see Katseye as K-Pop only "K-Pop related" and if I remember correctly they also don't want to be called "K-Pop", they're a "Global Group". That doesn't make Katseye bad of course neither is me saying this in any way toxic. Still wish them all the best and of course you can define K-Pop differently for yourself and include them.

2025-11-08 15:35:35 +0000 UTCYou could argue for each of these three, that they're only "K-Pop related" but not K-Pop, depending on your exact definition of K-Pop. That doesn't make them bad of course... For me personally Rose's APT is still the most K-Pop out of these three and Katseye the least. In my own "K-Pop Toplists" I don't include Katseye or XG for example and I wouldn't consider Golden for them as well. If I remember correctly Katseye and XG don't even want to be called K-Pop... they're global groups. As for who should win between Golden and APT? Not sure. I like both of them. As a Blackpink fan I would love to choose APT (it was Top 3 SotY 2024 for me), but Golden's success and impact this year was just so insanely monumental. Hard to argue against Golden. Wish all three of these nominations luck and success!
