Hi PD, I hope you can react on this one. It's wendy's show and her first guest was Rora and Pharita. https://youtu.be/k5EHjeE82lM?si=MO6Czy610PWF5-5B

The way you’ve taken the paprika metaphor and run with it is really making me laugh hahaha

Ohhhh ok yeah I would’ve instantly been in love with we go up if this was the music video. I liked the song but its taken a couple listens and live stages to fall in love

I am thinking about your statement regarding music videos… Hmm… this definitely works way better, for sure! But the thing I appreciate about Kpop these days a lot is they do care about music videos, whereas elsewhere music videos are not as important as before and focusing on TikTok trend/social media to get your song promoted is becoming more important. So if it was up to me I would have released this first prior to the mini album release, like a day or two before, to get people fucking hyped up and then release the music video along the album release to let people know that is the title track. Or then based on Paprika’s health situation I would have made this the pre-release with just THIS PERFORMANCE VIDEO, which would have had the care of Hands Up and Burning Up by MEOVV. And then release Paprika-full Psycho as the title track with some fancy music video

1:27 - Notice the empty spot in the choreo!! They count with our Paprika to join them eventually!

Dirty work was filmed at the Hyundai Steel Dangjin Steelworks not an airport runway. So no... didn't get that comparison. I saw more similarities with IVE's I'am and BTS Not Today who in parts also where shot on similar looking locations. Also: The indoor scenes (including the "floating people" and some of the outfits for the background dancers) reminded me of Villeneuve's Dune.

Will you also watch / react to the Babymonster "We Go Up" Behind the Scenes? They have one for the music video and one for the recording. Both are worth watching. Btw. the music video itself crossed the 100M (after just 13 days) while the performance video is not that far behind with 83M after 11 days. Also Nr 1 on Circle Album Chart, selling 533,686 copies for Week 41, 2025 (a new record for them). So its really going well for them. EDIT: I think the sound mixing in the music video is not as good as it should be which lessened the impact for me. I love the action scenes but overall the music video felt a bit to "cluttered" and "AI" to me and it got a bit distracting. So I agree in the sense that the performance video has a bigger impact showcasing the song. But I still liked aspects of the music video (the action scenes / acting) very much.

I like the music video simply for the action scenes and how the girls pulled the stunts off (recommend the MV behind) but I agree that they could've saved a lot of money and just used this one as the MV since it does suit the song better. Also am I crazy or does this whole location and even the outfits look very reminiscent of aespa's Dirty Work MV?
