2025-11-03 21:47:06 +0000 UTCI still think their live stages are still worth checking out! they're still doing well bc of how good they're performing despite what people think about Mamma Mia! also as people mentioned, jungeun and sarangs vocals on miyeon's subway interview were heavenly

2025-10-15 07:53:38 +0000 UTCI watched the Miyeon subway interview with Jungeun and Sarang before I listened to the full album and the live performance from those two made me LOVE Racecar so much

2025-10-10 22:39:07 +0000 UTCno because Racecar is legitimately so fucking good and Mamma Mia is...what it is. if not for the fact that all of izna are so fucking talented and amazing at executing any and every concept....i still want Racecar as the title track, but i love their performances of Mamma Mia

2025-10-10 14:12:40 +0000 UTCThey will promote Racecar, I believe. They dropped a hint of choreography in their Drip performance at Summer Sonic.

2025-10-09 20:23:17 +0000 UTCI read an article from their comeback showcase. While yes, Mai and the members said they wanted Racecar to be the title track, after discussing with Teddy and the A&R team, they chose Mamma Mia as the title track at the end because they wanted to showcase to the general audience that they are capable of this type of song as well. Yes, I do agree and am a bit angry that Racecar doesn't have its own promotion/MV, and the song itself is just too good to be a B-side, I respect the member's decision on Mamma Mia being the title track. At first I was a lil iffy about the song, but after hearing it like 10 times, I started to LOVE it. It's just so catchy, and the Barbie line is so satisfying to listen to. And the performance for this comeback is INSANE, I just love that they were able to showcase this side of them to the public (yes, they have SASS that is also very hard-going, but not a lot of people know it since it was an OST for SWF). Also, I 100% agree with you on not utilizing Koko enough. It would've been a cherry on top with Koko's rap verses in all the songs in this album.

2025-10-09 06:22:32 +0000 UTCYou're so correct about being worried for izna's future as a naya myself who actively keeps up with them. I think I've been worried since it was announced that Mnet and Hybe cut ties and that the new I-LAND season's group was going to be under Wakeone because stanning any artist under Wakeone is hell. The last time Wakeone had a "permanent" group, it was TO1 and it did not end well for them at all. Also, Wakeone used to be Kang Daniel's old company during Produce 101/Wanna One days in which he quite literally sued them so they kind of went through a rebrand and became affiliated with Mnet/CJENM. I'm personally worried with how they will continue to promote izna, yet I have become more worried after the lineup change as it'll draw fans away from the group overall as well. People yearned and expected for all 7 of them to comeback as one again, but it was something that was an unfortunate occurance where it did not happen. Artistically, izna are perfect. The members are crazily talented with creative insights themselves, however, Wakeone fails to acknowledge this which makes me scared they'll just be shelved in the future. You cannot tell me you have THE Choi Jungeun in your group and then you're probably going to shelf her talents away from society later when izna aren't rookies anymore. This album is insanely good and I just can't believe that Wakeone truly do not realize what gold they have in their hands because as soon as TheBlackLabel's time is up with them, I don't really know if they have any preparation for what's to come next for izna when they become more seniors within the industry. Also agreed with the huge lack of Koko within this album. She really does add an extra flavour to izna that not many other idols may have. She was a trainee under XG's subsidiary company before I-LAND 2 which I guess is why she may have that K-pop molded rap, yet she's capable of eating up any rap given to her which has been proven constantly over and over again during I-LAND 2. I really hope to see more utilization of her from TBL!!

2025-10-09 05:38:51 +0000 UTCI can totally picture jeon somi doing race car it’s soooo good! Wish there was an mv it could be so beautiful and atmospheric The delicious prechorus of mamamia is the best part for me and feels signature ‘izna’. I do find the way they do the chorus very satisfying and love jeemin’s delivery on her rap(?) part

2025-10-08 23:10:08 +0000 UTCI came across this Youtube Short titled "Split opinions between izna members and the company on the title track choice": https://youtube.com/shorts/-ND67hfs3rM?si=y1zCtvPr14DtdpkK. It has more than 370k views and 277 comments at the moment. Except for 2 or 3 comments in English, the rest is in Korean so I think it represents quite well the native public's reaction to Mamma Mia. I make a summary of these comments, 270 in total (lost some counts in the middle lol). The opinions are expectably divisive, but quite surprisingly there are considerably more comments agreeing with W1's choice (113 comments), while only 70 comments choose Racecar. 25 comments want them to promote both songs, 12 comments saying both songs are bad and 60 comments are ambiguous (unclear or unrelated opinions). These statistics are based on the translation of Youtube so it is not 100% guaranteed, I would need PD's verification haha. But anyway, the response for this comeback in Korea is more positive than I thought. A big reason I see from the supporters of Mamma Mia is that it's very catchy and the dancing makes them come back to the song. Remind you, a majority of these supporters is non-fan or muggle, not izna's fan. Moreover, it sounds more interesting to them than Racecar as it's not similar to their previous releases like Sign or Beep. On the other hand, Racecar supporters think it's better for title track as it's consistent with izna's color being shown so far and izna is not ready yet for a concept like Mamma Mia. Many also think the title suits MEOVV more. There are other arguments as well. Some of Mamma Mia group thinks Ji-yoon's departure affects izna's ability to convey sentimental songs so a change is needed. Others believe izna should build a strong fandom with a definitive color than constantly changing concept. On the contrary, some comments say izna and MEOVV should exchange concepts since MEOVV's tone suit sentimental songs while izna is stronger in performance and intense dancing. Overall, it's very interesting to see different opinions like this. I would love to hear what you think as well.

2025-10-08 22:52:21 +0000 UTCLiterally the dream outcome for this group is just to move them to TBL with VVN as the main producer. She seems to be the person that cares the most about the girls personally anyways and has the skills to make them shine

2025-10-08 20:03:56 +0000 UTCAnd i’m not surprised at all that you agreed with my comment from the last video that Mamma Mia should’ve been a pre-release and Racecar as a title track. Sonically that song is just way more complete while somehow being shorter?! Sarangs bridge sends me to heaven everytime. But also you can imagine the theme and MV for the song which would’ve been beautiful. It’s just so scary for IZNA because they’re in the label that has the most control but are somehow still less popular than the other 5th gen groups like H2H, Kiikii, Meovv which is absolutely sad with someone like Bang Jeemin in the group. In a proper label, that girl would be going viral nonstop for her personality and star prowess not just as a performer but celebrity.

2025-10-08 20:00:09 +0000 UTCI am so fucking angry! These girls have so much potential to be the next big thing, they have the talent, the visuals, the group chemistry. But something is not clicking, and I am think you are right, WakeOne is not making the beat decisions🙄

2025-10-08 17:26:39 +0000 UTCI am PRAYING that wakeone opens their damn eyes and lets the girls promote racecar…I am desperately hoping we get some sort of MV for it and a good round of live stages once the mamma mia promo ends. Like it would be such a HIT! That song was MADE to have crazy choreo! Like I’m hoping it’s a timebomb situation at the very least (no MV, but plenty of promo)

2025-10-08 17:22:48 +0000 UTCI’m also really interested (and a little scared) for the future of izna’s music and management. It also makes me worry for ALD1 and if they’re really going to try and push the whole alpha thing in their music, in spite of the strengths of the members. Hopefully they use the time between the end of the show and their debut to make something tailored to them.

2025-10-08 16:06:58 +0000 UTC32:55 - Teddy agreed (most likely officially signed it too) to work on their music production for their whole career (like the 7 years contract, not like until they become moms…), so basically their (Teddy’s and izna’s) contract are planned for the same period of time. THEREFORE! It makes me wonder if this could be something g.o.d and J.Y.Park case (them being under Sidus HQ but having JYP as their producer (in that case he was pretty much their… “coach”, who took care of them top to bottom and not just music, which led to them transfering to JYP Ent. eventually). But who knows what will be going on with izna, WakeOne, The Black Label by the year 2031 (Maybe The Black Therapy will rise and save them 😎😎)

2025-10-08 15:38:02 +0000 UTCA new creative director has been hired (or in process of being hired) for izna so there is a little hope that their future activities will be more dynamic. I really really hope that the 7-year contract means a proper investment and planning for the girls and will not turn into dungeon hell in the future. W1 has learned more than enough with their project groups, so if they do the same with izna then the loss will be on them first and foremost. From what I heard recently, their financial situation is already not very good-looking, so it's either them stepping up their game or abandoning izna and focusing on the next project. The latter would be the most f* up scenario ever.

2025-10-08 14:54:27 +0000 UTCYou might be thinking from the perspective of someone that has a choice. For Jiyoon and Kpop trainees in general, their chance of debuting is RIDICULOUSLY slim. On top of that, their chance of being decently successful (making benefits from their music) after debuting is also RIDICULOUSLY slim. No matter how terrible W1 is, it's still a middle-sized company that is under CJ Ent, one of the biggest corporation in Korea. Additionally, I-LAND 2 is a collaboration project between W1 and TBL, so definitely to some extent Ji-yoon will get taken care of, at least in terms of music direction. Her departure is of course absolutely devastating, but there are things that we can't control in life. We don't even know the real reason behind it. If she didn't appear in I-LAND 2, who knows when she will get the chance to sing in front of people. We wouldn't even be aware of her existence.
Tien
2025-10-08 14:45:33 +0000 UTCNah PD, I disagree on what is carrying izna right now is their music. You and I might really like their music, but many many others don't. From what I observe, it's the girls' skills and visual that attract and sustain the public's interest at the moment. Even though I still think Mamma Mia deserves to be the title track despite its shortcomings, it is supported by their outstanding performance of the song. Without their dancing, that song would be buried by now.

2025-10-08 14:35:29 +0000 UTC20:50 (“People said: “we have to get Teddy out of izna””) I remember reading that 24 liked Jiyoon during her time under The Black Label and so he recommended her to join I-Land 2 and I was like: “Why the hell would you recommend this to someone you like??” I mean… I guess he knew Jiyoon would not fit to MEOVV. Besides me liking MEOVV like this, I can only imagine Anna to be replaced by someone else and then I am not sure if Jiyoon would be the best fitting (persona/style-wise) option. Maybe Julie of Kiss of Life (she trained under The Black Label too) THAT (Julie, Gawon, Narin, Ella and Swim Kim (Sooin) would have been some Trainee A attack squad level group!! But that is a different topic… and so I get 24 wanted to help her to debut somewhere else, but at the same time (both for Jiyoon and the girls of izna) I am asking: “Is being WakeOne’s permanent group a good thing??”

2025-10-08 14:27:26 +0000 UTC"In the rain" actually has Koko's voice, she has one singing line I believe. It is at the end of the first chorus, after Jung-eun's part. I understand that her rap skills and potential are still not fully explored throughout their discography, but I'm glad she has more chance to explore her singing. Mai and Koko are the two members I really wish they can explore their vocal much further coz I can imagine how beautiful they will sound when being trained properly. In this comeback, Mai's improvement finally paid off as she is responsible of longer and more important lines. Koko's position as main rapper is unfortunately too important for her to be in charge of more singing.

2025-10-08 14:21:37 +0000 UTC18:10/anywhere throughout this listening party, when it came to the WakeOne topic This is pretty much the reason, why I have never viewed this group as “The Black Label/Teddy’s group”, because WakeOne thinks: “We will just agree with Teddy, the hit maker of BLACKPINK, to work on our group’s music and that is it”, but as we can see that is not the case… Marketing/song placement on the album (both order and whether it is a b-side or title track) and basically the A&R team’s job is as important as the music production itself. Because you can have the best song on the planet Earth and what? If you do not know how to show it to the world, nobody will know that they should care. This is the problem I have with WakeOne/Mnet related stuff. They think they have the “Mnet name” and they keep the I-Land brand, they bring Teddy and so the group should be ground breaking and they (WakeOne) are “done with their task”. And izna is doing well indeed, but the thing is they could have been doing exceptionally well if it was handled differently than playing it save and building it on “buzz words” like “Teddy produced” and “I-Land group”

2025-10-08 14:16:32 +0000 UTC10:20 - I am going to make a prediction: Once PD launches his Black Therapy Entertainment/Company/Label (my powers of the Attack Titan are not that strong to see future memories in this much detail, so the name is still in works…) groups of this Black Therapy will: 1) Have the OG YG sound 2) Be treated something like BLACKPINK/something special 3) Have double title track releases And 4) (This one is just delulu hope of mine) with a little bit of luck I’ll be hired as a member of A&R team, because in comparison to all those (by that time) young Koreans and young Korean Americans I will still know and remember what Hot 뜨거 is… 😅😅

2025-10-08 13:56:56 +0000 UTCI think in the future izna might have more chances to do double-title-track kind of promotion. Their 1st year witnessed quite a lot of turbulence from both their line-up change and the production company The Black Label. The Black Label has had a very successful year with ADP and especially Kpop Demon Hunters and I believe their focus on izna's music can't be as intense. I don't know, with the current scale of that company, it's not easy to only have them as the producer and expect a diverse offer of music. WakeOne might want to consider a complimentary contract with a second producer, which I doubt might happen as I heard their financial situation is not that good at the moment.

2025-10-08 13:53:24 +0000 UTCI have held my comment on Mamma Mia to be sure with my take. And the answer is… I got over the fact we do not have rappers like Yuju and Yui here. But then they release Mamma Mia and I mind just go: “Okay, but those rappers would have dominated this song!!” So my opinion is… if we are going for this style, unleash Koko for god damn sake or bring Yuju & Yui on a featuring!! (Edit: This comment was written prior to your Koko speech 😅😅)
