I feel like the only reason for Noeul’s story is to tie back to Sebeyok (sorry for spelling). Like there was really no reason for her saving the dad. She didn’t do any thing really as far as stopping or exposing the game

2025-09-04 04:01:38 +0000 UTC1:07:35 - I wish we could watch Stranger Things 5 here with you too! I mean… I will not be able to watch it week by week. Live stream would be the best option, like everybody who wants to watch it here would have to take a day off or something like that… Although… considering the length of each episode is around 2 hours and the last/8th one is 3 hours + your commentary on that… That is like 24 hours long stream 😬😬 But really… I have started to rewatch it all and I AM SO HYPED!! I even created a playlist, which is like compilation album/“The Best” of songs played throughout of it all, so I can instantly throw myself back there. https://music.apple.com/cz/playlist/bitchin/pl.u-EdAVv5Vtq866E9m Regarding Squid Game… the Junho storyline is the only thing that bothers me. I get the realistic part, but at the same time it should not have been presented as something god damn important. At the end it feels like the storyline of the player saved by Noeul is way more important than Junho’s story. In a way I agree that the fact that the first season had backgrounds for characters and everything along that was more “smaller” and simplier… it helped it stand out and be a story on its own regardless of the cliffhanger at the end. But I do not know, man… call me a softie but bringing the baby into this season(s)/a pregnant woman… that really made me invested like even to the storyline of the old lady. It still managed to keep its Korean roots despite its global hype. The tofu thing at the end, shaman lady (cult problems in Korea) and more. Then we have the whole thing with Thanos and him being such a weird 4th wall breaking character (since he was played by T.O.P and the creator intentionally wanted to comment on modern Show Me The Money rappers). Like literally I can see myself saying this second part of this whole Kihun story was equally good as the first part/season and the only thing that makes it problematic for me to decide is that I compare not just the first season to the second season but I have to compare the second one with the third one and then with the first one. So basically yes… if you are not a Stranger Things season, don’t you ever dare to be two/any number part season regardless of the amount of time you place in between… This should have been one season called 2 Squid 2 Game, so people would get the Fast Saga reference and then the US version could easily continue with being named: “Squid Game: The USA Drift” And if anyone thinks it is a dumb name, then they do not understand why Kate Blanchett has to be in it to save it all! Regarding Lee Byung Hun…: I hope we get something like a prequel about his origin story or in general I would appreciate more prequel seasons, because it is really up in the air if the region versions get to cover the organisation part and how it all works. Also… I am adding this section about Lee Byung Hun AFTER you mentioned Stranger Things again. I say: “DO IT!” Make a special tier for Stranger Things only if you want

2025-08-31 15:47:56 +0000 UTCOkay, hear me out 🤷🏾♀️ The only way Squid Game America would make sense to me is if Gihun’s daughter joined the game to avenge her dad. She could do what Gihun couldn’t and finally put an end to it all. I don’t know if the plot for Squid Game America has been revealed yet, but the way the original ended feels like the perfect setup to pass the story from Gihun to his daughter.

2025-08-31 11:34:45 +0000 UTCSame. I’m not even disappointed in Season 2/3; I have major FRUSTRATIONS with it. It feels like it didn’t have enough writing care and time like Season 1 and so much so I was ready to be like “ok I don’t care if they do a spin off, I’m not watching US Squid Game, I don’t care if it’s someone super famous” And then they said Cate Blanchett and really shut my ass up.

2025-08-31 01:02:32 +0000 UTCYeah the ending is “realistic” but idk; I guess it’s TOO REALISTIC? Like I feel like they could have had a dark ending but maybe lean more fantastical and ridiculous so it doesn’t feel like real life???

2025-08-31 01:00:53 +0000 UTCI’d be down for western content but definitely depends what it is, if Cate Blanchett isn’t contracted then not sure how much worth American squid game would be (both watching and reacting); part of what sucks about Squid Game ending like this is that it still feels like capitalism wins in the end, which yk fair enough I can’t argue that isn’t our current experience to a concerning extreme rn, and at the very least there is the idea that they are humans and there will always be a Gihun, a Noeul, a Junho, still kind of a personal philosophical bummer tho

2025-08-30 23:48:36 +0000 UTCLITERALLY IF IT WAS ANY. ONE. ELSE. I would’ve said nope, but Cate Blanchett??? I will be sat

2025-08-30 23:31:40 +0000 UTCOh for sure, I’m a Cate Blanchett simp. She can make bad movies GOOD. Also looking back, I agree localizing the games would make sense. What would be the PERFECT test game tho? Idk what’s the classic American childhood game besides hide and seek? Also yeah, very annoyed that Junho and Gihun’s story essentially went nowhere 😭

2025-08-30 21:16:06 +0000 UTCI hated everything about this season and this finale. I don't even know where to start. The baby… a newborn needs to be fed every couple of hours. That single bottle of milk they gave her was absurd. Did Gihun even change her nappy? Did they seriously have no women on set to point this out? Smh :/ Gihun's sacrifice made no sense, especially after watching Squid Game: America setup. The cop and his brother’s storyline didn’t move an INCH! He asked the exact same question he did in season 1. The only side plot that actually went somewhere was Noeul's, and THANK GOD for that.. And about the Ddakji game in America—I get that you liked the idea but I found it silly. That should’ve been localized. In Korea the players at least recognized the games. Imagine Americans trying to figure out five-stones with a time limit??? It just doesn’t work?? I think Cate Blanchett reveal completely blinded you at the end :D
