The rule-breaking thing is a HUGE no-no in Asian culture, so I'm not surprised it's something that creates tension when this Korean survival show format is being brought to the Western side with predominantly Western-raised girls.

2025-08-31 12:49:22 +0000 UTCJust wanna share that during your ep 2 reaction when you said you had no idea why Emily didn't debut despite being very talented I had a theory as to why and it's tied with Lexie but I didn't wanna share anything yet because it might be a spoiler but seeing the line up right now for prelude really does prove my point and if Ezrela actually join this group then that will solidify it. I definitely think Lexie is Hybe's favorite and Geffen seems to really like her as well and wanted her to debut and adding Emily and Ezrela in that group makes so much sense to me height wise and visual wise because they compliment each other. If she was able to debut in Katseye half of the members who are in the group would probably not even make it (I don't have any specific members in mind I just think that they would want to choose members that would really compliment one another.) The only problem for Ezrela is that Lara is in the show and you know that both Hybe and Geffen loves her as well so it just makes sense to me that they would also bring her back this time. This also applies to Samara. Unfortunately, her debuting in this group is probably not the best move for them.

Which is sad because I really like her but for someone who wanted it so much its crazy that she would risk it all by doing that. I also have a problem with people not taking accountability of their actions, she said she was mad and frustrated but we never saw her say sorry but instead just argue with Missy. I understand being scared and worked up but there is a maturity in admitting your mistakes. She could have maintained a working relationship with them had she apologized but i wouldn't be surprised if they wouldn't consider her for a new group because she didnt take accountability... (of course she could have but it wasnt shown, I can only go off of what I see)

Then Dani asked 'Did you?' I got suspicious :D If it was only girls from the program, they wouldnt eliminate a promising trainee. They picked Naisha to record in studio. She's great at dance & singing. Such a waste.

And the others group he isn’t a producer to them, those groups belong to the other hybe subsidiaries and not to bighit, so he really doesn’t have a relationship with them, except for le sserafim.

The girls who didn’t say much, or took the issue seriously got more favouritism, screentime and focus. I’ve only noticed it now, rewatching it with PD and hearing their comment about never risking your career over NDA. I assume the girls involved all got mentally cut by them. And naisha got the “sacrifice” to scare the other girls. They’re also looking at them and their personalities, if you don’t follow rules, they won’t pick you.

Also… is Emily one of the fixed members? They said there will be the show aired in Japan to find the last member for the group, which has already been formed. But I got confused if Emily is announced as one of the fixed members or if she is one of the contestants (because I assume the show will be involving only a few contestants, since only one person is going to make it).

Each song she released grew on me more and quicker than the last, and I love the choreography in the music videos! (Plus, she has pink hair and bleached brows a la Lady Gaga in her Chromatica era, so you know it’s SERIOUS BUSINESS)

He is there when they debut to show everyone what he has created, and then forgets about them at all. I mean, what was the last time you have seen him in anything BTS, TXT, SEVENTEEN, BND, TWS, LESSERAFFIM, ... related?

I guess it might be for the American people in the room, but they could just translate afterwards right?

2025-08-26 13:49:02 +0000 UTCBefore I watch the video just wanna share that Hybe×Geffen is making another girlgroup (not sure if it's another survival show but seems like it.) So far Emily is the only one to be announced but there has been hints that Ezrela will join as well. I genuinely don't know what to feel about this because as much as I'd like to see them debut it seems a bit too soon to debut another group let alone a new gg. Even with kpop it usually takes 3 years and normally a gg would be followed by a bg and so on to give the group more time for exposure.
