Who else is grieving the izna situation rn
Added 2025-08-19 21:17:07 +0000 UTCFor those of you who have been following my izna journey y'all will know that it's Jiyoon that first made me really get into the group, so much so that it even led me into my I-Land 2 journey.
So sad to hear about Jiyoon leaving, whatever the reason may be T_T I hope she at least even makes a solo debut someday!

It's not about taking others' lines, I believe, it's not something that idols actually have control over. If anything it feels more about earnings and anticipations from fans. In normal cases, earnings from group activities will be divided evenly among the members, regardless the amount of work that you do. That's why we tend to see members with little lines in the title song will take side jobs such as MCing or variety shows. Now if WakeOne applies the same system to izna, then Ji-yoon will still receive earnings from group activities even when she's on hiatus. Combining with the desperate anticipation from fans growing day by day while her (health) situation doesn't seem to be positive, she could have felt too much burden to hold on. However, all of these are just speculations and assumptions from our own knowledge, they don't help at all in this situation. What I believe we should do is to send them a lot of support and blessing.

2025-08-20 11:19:15 +0000 UTCFor those who are saying Wakeone forced her to terminate or are treating her badly, they've edited their website and Jiyoon is still on there solo. Who knows what this entails but I think if Jiyoon was truly being mistreated, she would've taken the chance to terminate her contract with WakeOne entirely - not just the IZNA contract. My personal opinion is that I believe it truly is a health thing and knowing Jiyoon's personality, she probably feels too left behind and that she's burdening the group (especially after seeing the recent success). After seeing how much hard work Jungeun, Sarang and Saebi have put into their vocals and the love they're getting for it, I can definitely see Jiyoon feeling very guilty at the thought of coming back and taking their lines. Let's also remember guys that she's been physically unwell for 6+ months now, it must have been taxing on her mental health too.
