Squid Game S3E5

Comments

1:00:10 - The moment of you realizing your unintentional puns made me laugh a lot, I do not know why The topic of politicians: Besides this I think he wanted to comment on tu pure fact that people are willing to kill a baby for their own good. And if Thanos was placed into this situation, his fans would have been dissapointed that he is not only funny dude with running jokes all over the place, but also a child murderer, which is one of the things people cannot forgive to criminals regardless of their point of view to crimes. The original 222 would have sacrificed herself, the same goes for the old lady and Hyunju. I can see the Shaman lady and the character played by Yang Dong Geum fitting the idea of someone, who can kill a baby and the point of view of viewers would not change a lot. Maybe also Namgyu, but I appreciated his story ended there, so Minsu’s character could develop. But even for those two… things would have had to happen differently to make these make it here. Actually… the Shaman Lady’s story line did not have any huge impact on the whole story. Okay, Shaman Lady could have made it here and it would have been interesting to place a chaotic character into this game. But just for the sake of the game to be more interesting, because if the end was meant to be Kihun against the father of the baby, then she would have had to die regardless. So… I get you and understand your statement, but I still think if his goal was to tell: “In case you have not heard about Shingeki no Kyojin, this is your reminder that we as human kind are fucked up, people are messed up to this fucking level”, then this was apparently the best way to make the finale happen

I think the point was that after his best friend dies, Gihun and his boundaries are broken. He came into this with a very specific and hard mindset, but was naive and once he killed the fake marine kid, he lost all sense of his morality and was confused and all over the place.

"...is it a wax figure..?" the way you whispered into the mic :D Gihun's morality makes no sense. The scene with Saebyeok baffled me the most, because Gihun had already killed the 'fake' Marine boy in the previous game. Technically, that boy was innocent, yet Gihun strangled him anyway. He also pushed the player who crossed the bridge after him simply because that player had killed others. But it wasn’t his business—there was no way for him to go back and save Junhee at that point. In this game, after 333 pushed the guy off the rock, Gihun could’ve just nodded and they all could have moved on to the next rock. 333 was right. Both of them had weapons. Boomers could’ve picked one from their side OR just like they made the 'lunchbox' they could have figured something out on the other rock. Instead, Gihun wrestled with one of them and caused chaos. My man, this game requires three sacrifices. If they hadn’t touched you or the baby, they would’ve killed that guy anyway. So why are you upset about this? You’ve got a baby dangling from a sling on your shoulder—are you really in a position to complain about how the sacrifice was chosen?? If you’d had the power to decide from the start, you would have picked one of them yourself. And you didn’t say a SINGLE word when they pushed Minsu in the first rock. He started all that and then acted shocked/disappointed when 333 killed others like he had never killed anyone himself. TLDR; They should’ve made Gihun’s boundaries much clearer.
