2025-08-10 08:34:01 +0000 UTCI loved this cover so much; I'm super proud of these three, even though it wasn't live. It's a really intense song to cover live, and I get why they didn't cover it because of the crazy notes WITH choreo (and izna performed 6 other songs live that day too, alongside other promotions they were doing - you really can't blame them). Mira's stand-in could also definitely be Jiyoon (not exactly height-wise...), but I think their vocal tones can be quite similar. I hope you can react to izna's other KCON stages when they come out (especially the Fiesta cover and their song SASS!)

I can understand it to a degree—yeah, without live vocals it can feel like it’s just dancing, and it does take away from the experience. But at the same time, this song is vocally challenging. Some of the high notes are hard to hit, so I can see why they used a pre-recorded version. Take Down is much more singable compared to Golden on live stage, and it would be perfect fit for this kind of crowd too. Aside from that, I loved their performance. The outfits, the hair styles, the choreo itself very well executed. Jungeun is made for this song. Her voice shined thru the track.

2025-08-08 20:32:50 +0000 UTCPD, I suppose you're unaware of the amount of criticisms that izna received for this "special stage". Live AR is the biggest reason, followed by the change in choreo, different styling from the original and hitting the high notes with falsetto. Kpop Demon Hunter in general and "Golden" in particular have turned into a Korean pride these days that it is almost impossible to defend izna from criticisms. Luckily a majority of them is towards CJ and WakeOne, but the girls are still the ones getting hurt. What saddens me the most is that some people (sounding like fans) think Jeemin and Koko were bad choices for this stage and they should have instead chosen other members with stronger vocals. On one hand, all three sounded great here and did a good job with their parts for the recording. Jeemin and Koko deserve more trust for their singing. It's been over a year since I-LAND 2 yet some people still think their skills remain the same. On the other hand, even if they went with other members, this stage would still be Live AR. It's obvious that WakeOne decided to go for a dance stage with recorded vocal, so they chose the members that dance the best while looking fit as a subunit.

But I get it......there are certain songs that people perform FOR the live singing aspect (and not the dancing). No idol/former idol goes on korean variety and lip syncs So Chan Whee's 'Tears', the point is to hit those notes live......it's the same with this song. It's why the singing covers are the hottest content to come out of it. People want to hear a singer hit that 5th octave A (same reason Yujin's cover of Golden was also dragged a little bc it was so processed).
