2025-07-31 01:25:29 +0000 UTCHonestly, i felt more connected to the characters in season 1. All deaths in season 1 moved me to tears but i cant say that same for this season. I thought this was because we never really got to see their backstories, we just heard them from the characters themselves rather than being shown. But in season 1 we saw that Saebyeok wanted to find her mother in north korea, ali being an immigrant working and sang-woo with his failed business investment (? i actually don't remember if thats true). In season two, the only characters whose backstory i can remember seeing is the women and man that worked at the theme park (oh and the ex-loan shark whose working with junho now), but then their story wasn't really shown as much afterwards.

I keep bracing for impact of the finale — also, DanDaDan season 2 has started airing, might be a refreshing pick up after squid game season 3 ends! We will need some lighthearted reprieve afterwards, also by the time dandadan ends will be just in time for the suffering of Alice in Borderland season 3 in late September :) but we can get reprieve in late October with season 3 of spy x family!!
