It literally feels like the song is repeatedly pulling you back and shooting you forward, just like a slingshot. SO FUN.

2025-04-11 05:55:33 +0000 UTCI think the thing you are trying to describe by saying you like all the songs the most of their discography, but you would not call this their best piece of discography, that is based on the idea of something having the "full package approach" as for example Jennie's Ruby has. It is not a case of reordering the tracklist here, everything works great in this regard and changing would not affect it much if at all. This is a bit weird to phrase it like this... but to me it is as if this mini album was a compilation album of the best b-sides from their whole discography. But not just the most popular b-sides as if they thought: "Let's put the popular songs together", but those "hidden gem b-sides" for which you wish they were promoted along with the title track. And so it creates this weird mixture of: "Yes, I am so glad they released these songs" but at the same time there is a second thought of: "Huh... shouldn't these songs be accompanied by other tracks on their own album?" To put it in the Ruby example: As if each of these songs were supposed to have a track or two to it to make the momentum go on a bit longer and make it more seamless going from one song to the other
