I had to make an extra test with different resolution.
The first hero is based on classic 32x32px.
The second dragonborn is 48x48px.
Which one you like better? The best resolution if feel comfortable with is 35x35px as I created so far. The good thing is it can be easily enlarge to 280x280px (35×8) recommended by tabletop rpgs.

Ankheg is another monster based on Monster Manual. I will try to draw all of letter "A".
Viking is a kind of test. Instead of 35x35px, I used a gaming standard 64x64px and enlarged x4 to classic 256x256px. This is why Viking has a higher pixel density which is visible.
If you like Viking style more than Ankheg, I may switch to that higher pixel resolution.

Good plan is to follow the list of creatures from D&D - Monster Manual.
There are two more type of Angels over there - Solar and Planetar. I think two types + their "B" versions should be enough.

Pixel art is an another style I wanted to try.
Comparing to previous skeletal bone technique, pixel art animation is not smooth and art is... pixelated :)
In general I found lots of advantages: freedom of creating animation and simplify.
Next time I will try the higher resolution drawing to see If creating more detailed art is worth the effort.
I start with popular monsters but the long term goal is to create all creatures based on Monster Manual 5e. I upload a version B of standard tokens.
Here is the difference:
- mirrored version (if looks good)
- different color
- animation timeline
- extra animation frames
- some tiny details (not always)
